We ordered take out yesterday and it was delicious! I recommend trying the Congri rice. It’s great by itself or pairs well with Ropa Veija, buttered bread & Mojo! The Cuban sandwich is also pretty good and they have been making it right lately.
An overhead TV displays one of THE most efficient menus I've ever seen for a restaurant that focuses on its basics. I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew exactly how to order it when my turn came up in line. Starbucks & McDonald's should send spies to analyze that menu design! Oh, and the "Chicken Pepper Steak w/ rice & black beans" is a definite winner. I chose to eat in and I watched a lot of folks take out.
Very casual dining in with counter service. Very little festoonery. But the food is absolutely delicious. We had the chicken soup and a classic Cuban sandwich. In a bigger city there would be a line out the door and down the block. We will be stopping in Clewiston again for sure. ????????

I came to clewiston for an appointment and looking for a good place to eat homemade style food and found it here! Delicious food, clean restaurant and everyone are so friendly.
I used to stop here on way to other coast and food was delicious. Not anymore! It was short of disgusting. Thought I was going to chip a tooth on cuban sandwich. It was hard as a rock and had old tasting meat and a slice of thin cheese. The empanada was almost burnt and skimpy fillings. Ham croquette tasted old and the cuban meat and potato ball was inedible. No dipping sauces. I was so disappointed. Save your money and pass this place.
LOVE this place!! Took my Mom this time as she hadn't been there with me yet & she said, "well THIS was worth 2.5hrs of driving to visit my daughter"...shes hard to impress too!
