Small, plain dining room, but the service was good and my bacon cheeseburger was excellent. Was able to fill my water bottle and charge my phone while I ate. Will need to try the pie next time I stop through. ????
My wife and I ate here for supper a few weeks ago. I didn't realize how great there burgers were. The fries are also great. They really do use fresh ground beef and you can tell. We will be back again for another burger and also want to go for breakfast. The place is very clean and they have great decor to with the name.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Didn't expect it to take over a half an hour to get our food. Especially since there was only 4 of us in the place. Eggs cooked perfectly. Bacon a little underdone. Other half had to send hers back as she doesn't like chewy bacon. Asked for hashbrowns to be cooked through and crispy. Came out completely white. Not hardly cooked at all. In a time crunch so couldn't send those back. Would give it another try but won't go out or my way to go there.
After visiting the State Fair earlier this week and being somewhat disappointed with some of the food, visiting the Blue Ribbon Cafe was such a treat. We were very glad to stubble upon this place on our bike ride. The food was awesome and I'd highly recommend stopping in. We'll be back next time we ride out that way...A blue ribbon for Blue Ribbon
Food was good but did not get waited on the 1st half hour we were there. I had to stop a gal and ask when we would be waited on. Me and another in our party ordered milk with our meal those came out with everybody's coffee a half hour later. Then it was another half hour before we got our food and there were other customers that arrived after us that were waited on, served and left before we got our food. Then when they started bringing our food out informed us that the waffle maker didn't work and if there is something on the menu they would make for no charge. Really the cook couldn't inform us of that when the order was put in an hour earlier? We were sitting there 1 1/2 hours which we stayed because there was no other place to sit down and eat in that town. I doubt we will go back again.
A favorite for breakfast absolutely terrific. Casual, comfortable, home style cooking. We meet friends for breakfast regularly at Blue Ribbon Cafe and always have great food no matter what we choose. Coffee, great, the wait staff keep it topped off. Pancakes, fluffy, yum! Eggs, buttery and crisped edges, oh yeah. Sausages? You've got to be kidding me! A local, special recipe. You must try them! Whatcha waiting for? Oh, and don't forget the cinnamon rolls, huge, sticky plate full of sweet goodness. Are you there yet? To top it off, the locals are friendly and engaging. Why only 4 stars? No creme brule.
It was okay but had very slow service. The food was average but it is pretty good for this small town and I would recommend it if you want a quick meal. Adding on I also think it is a great adidtion to the town and I actually enjoyed the food!!!
The dining room is small but the food is very good. I had one of the best Hamburgers I ever ate. Their breakfast is good too. The service is good and very friendly. Nice hometown cafe
