Tonight I placed an order online, when I arrived they greeted me by letting me know I was early for the order(In an annoyed way), but I told them I’m in no rush at all and acknowledged I was early. The tacos came up 2 minutes later and were the wrong tortilla which isn’t really a big deal but they are also soaked in like pools of grease so when you pick up the taco it just falls apart. I unfortunately didn’t double check the order until I got home and realized this I wasn’t I payed for. So I get back down to my car and drive back, meanwhile I’m calling them trying to get some more tacos going for me on the way. No one answered and I waited 10 minutes on hold. When I show up I ask to swap them out and the employee(seemingly annoyed) says ,” next time try to come back sooner”. Which if they would answer the phone they would have known sooner…. I looked around and there was no line and less than 8 people eating inside so it wasn’t busy. So to me just seems like the people working expect to do nothing at work. The whole time I was extremely nice and not mad at all. But the employees here make you feel like you are bothering them by spending your money there. On top of that the tacos that they replaced them with are pictured below and they were the right tortilla but also just covered in ungodly amounts of grease. Seems like they did it on purpose. I usually like cafe rio a lot but even Taco Bell would have been better tonight :/ the beef also tasted off and had worse texture than usual.
so this is fast casual. you go down a line and your food is assembled in front of you. like chipotle but they also have enchiladas and other items. the flavor is different, kind of mild and less salty than the national chains with the same concept. I would even describe it as being more fresh. we will be coming back as a nice change of pace.
This place is garbage. Barely speak English and mumble. Simple chicken with cheese quesadilla is 18 bucks with a small drink. They didn't even spread the cheese around or protein. No seasoning what so ever. I scrapped it off at home, put it in a pan and added spices for what should have been what they made. What a joke, don't come here. Plus, they always have 5 people standing behind the line to pick up orders. They don't care about people that come in to order.
Amazing restaurant. I had been eating at all the Vegan restaurants the past week and just wanted to get a simple rice and bean burrito. Cafe Rio exceeded my expectations. The burrito was incredible. Stuffed to the hilt with beans and rice. To make matters better we showed up on a Tuesday and burritos were just $5.99 instead of the usual $9.99. I highly recommend this restaurant. The tortillas are made on the spot, then filled with fresh ingredients. Their sauce bar is amazing. And the ice machine at the soda fountain has awesome little cubes!
It was close to my hotel and wow very clean inside service was amazing and they did not scrimp on the food . Well done !
I usually like their quesadilla but was highly disappointed when I received my pickup order for nachos. Seems like they sprinkled a little cheese on one side and filled it with chips. Salmon was tasty tho.
I come to this location for my lunch break 1-2 times a week. Every single time it is amazing and so consistent that I just have to keep coming back! The staff is so friendly and kind, I genuinely look forward to my lunch breaks here because I know it’ll always hit the spot and I’ll be treated greatly. Big shoutout to the whole team here!!!!!
We love the quality food and the bang for our buck!! Typically when we dine-in at this location there are some other patrons inside but always ample seating and tables. We usually see a lot of pick-up orders.
