Get the sweet pork salad. It will change your life. I have this a minimum of once per week. They make tortillas fresh in house and I haven’t found a comparison in terms of texture and flavor at a fast food type store. I know this isn’t a Colorado native restaurant, but it is where I take anyone East of Denver first when they visit!
There was too much liquid from the meat in the quesadilla. I couldn't pick it up because it was too soggy. I ate it with a spoon. The flavor of the meat and cheese were good.
Food was pretty good for the price. Had been wanting to try it out because I heard it was similar to Costa Vida. The taco Tuesday deal is incredible, so cheap. But I personally like Costa Vida a bit more. I tried the sweet pork, not bad at all.
I went in for a pickup order tonight, they made my drink that was supposed to be large, a medium and when I asked for that to be corrected, the employee got an attitude. When she came back with the correct size, the straws were dripping wet, I still thanked her and let her know I appreciate her doing that and she rolled her eyes at me and just walked away. This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up my order which I get happens but to have an attitude with me for wanting it corrected when I paid extra for it? Unprofessional.
The food had clearly been out for a long time and tasted like it- steak tasted and smelled like old fish and the guac was brown. The menu said nachos cost $11.58 and yet we were charged over $13. When I asked about the daily entree specials, I was told those no longer exist and they do "taco Tuesday" now. The restaurant was disgusting despite my family being the only people in the building ordering food (others ended up in line behind us). Trash overflowing, tables sticky and covered in food. Oh and the kicker.... STYROFOAM cups for water. Who uses Styrofoam clearly knowing the environmental implications?? I've uploaded pictures of what a $29 meal at Cafe Rio gets you and the wonderful ambiance you can expect. GROSS. DON'T COME HERE.
Their tortillas are made in house and are absolutely delicious. My favorite item is the salad with a tortilla and cheese on the bottom. Both of their dressing options are phenomenal. The nachos are also really great. The service at my last visit was great, can be a hit or miss but the food makes up for it. Would definitely recommend. Better than chipotle or qudoba, but very similar in concept. More similar to qudoba, but higher quality.

I love Cafe Rio and have been fan since you guys opened the first location in Utah.
Today’s on-line order was a mess!!!
First I received an email with a $10 off offer if I order on-line so I do. Two salads, double meat, sub shredded lettuce etc. Both salads made wrong with no shredded lettuce, wrong proteins and no double protein I paid for. On top of this my wife’s wheat tortilla had a cheese and I specifically selected no cheese.
No extra pico or anything I ordered. Not a great experience any time I order on-line. Always something missing from dressing, salsa, modifiers.
