I love cafe Rio,... usually.
Wasn't too impressed with this location.
I had the tortilla soup with black beans instead of chicken.
It somehow lacked the robust flavor and amount of fixins that were in it.
I was not impressed.
I only ate some of it.
My daughter had the sweet pork salad and ate every bite!
The people who prepared my burrito acted more like they were in a race than they were interested in what I really wanted in my burrito. It seemed like everything was in fast. They were not friendly. Just wanted to move me along, even though there was only one other person in line. Not friendly, not personable, I got no feeling they cared about their customers.

Food is almost always delicious, but I order online often and when I get there to pick it up I often feel ignored/avoided for sometimes for a few minutes. Employees will look at me and make eye contact while I’m clearly waiting to be helped but it’s like it’s store policy to make sure I wait a few minutes before reaching out. Other than that, the food is awesome.
Let me start by saying that I’ve been a huge fan of Cafe Rio for more than 10 years, for some reason though this location always disappoints. The employees usually seem like they have a chip on their shoulder and like they don’t like their jobs at all. I don’t like feeling rushed and having the food haphazardly thrown together. I’ve recently been to a few newer locations in California and the employees there were so much better, kinda like they used to be here in Orem years ago.
Be careful with the tobacco, the restriction piece has been missing on 3 of the last 4 times I’ve been here and it come out all over your food like crazy.

If you are looking for fast, this is the place for you. They are so fast they make you panic to place an order, that isn't fully understood and the preparer just throws whatever into a dish, just to shove you down the line. Then you'll get undercooked, crunchy rice, the full stem of the cilantro, and for an added treat, the avocado stem in your guacamole. I hope it's just this location. I've never had this issue before.
This place is phenomenal. Kind workers, delicious food, great service in a clean restaurant.
Tortillas are so delicious, I got the pollo asada quesadilla and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. They have the flavor, texture and presentation perfect here.
