I ordered a burrito with just rice and chicken and the rice wasn’t all the way cooked and hard grainy. My chicken was burnt. I also ordered a side of guacamole. I literally said just guac and they put idk maybe salsa mixed with it and cheese which sucked because it was for my kids. Overall horrible experience it mainly all went in the trash. Waste of 30$
Ordered 2 sweet pork salads - - the lettuce was shredded, even finer that would be shredded for a taco. Hate to eat a salad that has already been chewed.
We haven’t been to cafe rio in several years, we are costa Vida people but I had a gift card. I was pretty disappointed with the cleanliness of the food prep area and the bathrooms.
There was only a couple of people in line when we got there but it took quite awhile to get our food
We had the pork salad and pork quesadilla, both were good. We also tried the elopes (street corn) and it was a nice surprise.
I think I’ll stick with costa for now.
I've visited Cafe Rio many times, but this was my first visit to the new one in Logan. I had the new bowl, and it was tasty, perhaps my new favorite. Staff was friendly and seemed happy to serve up great food at a good price. This location even has a drive up!!! For a quick bit while passing through Logan, this is a good convenient spot we will be back.
I think there must be some problems with the new location. 10 min late on take out. Quesadillas were very greasy and packed poorly. No utensils or napkins. No fajita veggies as ordered. We liked the food at the old location…what happened?
Cafe Rio used to be one of our favorites. Since moving locations the food tastes different. The lettuce is so shredded it doesn’t even taste good. Unsure of what they have changed in their recipes but they should go back to the old version.
This setup is a little different than most cafe rio locations. The line doesn't flow smoothly and could be arranged better I Ordered tortilla soup and it was cold. Not just not warm, but cold. Family enjoyed their burritos
I used to really like Taco Tuesday: Taco for $2.49, add rice, beans, and a drink for $3. Today without warning, a drink is no longer included. So I get rice and beans for $3 without a drink? Or buy a drink for an additional $3, which is expensive. And just a week ago I did Taco Tuesday and it came with a drink.
The sign in the restaurant still says that rice beans and drink for Taco Tuesday is $3. But they didn't honor that. Maybe they should take the sign down. I just got a water cup. So they didn't get any extra money and they made me unhappy - over something that is admittedly a small thing. But that small thing is enough to make me satisfied verses unhappy.
I've been a loyal customer for years. It seems like they are trying to make more money in a sneaky way. I wish they'd be more open about their pricing. They are chasing me away. I can go other places for better value.
