Best WLM Reviews
Always a good time when we visit Cafe Mimi for our work lunches. There’s plenty of seating for large crowds, service is friendly and the food is fresh! Highly recommend if you’re in the downtown Baton Rouge area.
Wanted to try this place for a while now and finally today we went there for lunch. It was packed up for almost as long we were there. The Pho was amazing.. we can feel the flavour richness in the broth. The beef and brisket were tender and went well with it. The grilled chicken was good but the fried rice was OK. The iced coffee was very strong but felt a little expensive @$6 for around 12oz.. would love to try their breakfast someday as i heard great things about it. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
A family owned spot located in the middle of downtown Baton Rouge. This place does great lunch food for reasonable prices. Servings are super generous. Always recommend trying the specials. If you can get here before noon you’ll be the rush of local office/government employees rushing in.
Stopped by this morning for a breakfast biscuit sandwich and it was great.
Swung by Mini's on our way back to Houston. The Pho was on point. Broth is rich and flavorful. Wings are great. Wet sauce was a cross between sweet and sour and buffalo wings sauce with a hint of spice. Will be back.
Best biscuits period. Eat them plain. The white gravy is good, but the biscuit is better. Generous serving of bacon with the big breakfast. Grits need a little work though.
Staff is very friendly, haven't made it for lunch yet. Will update.
We went to cafe mimi after some coworkers recommend the restaurant to us. It normally opens for lunch but recently it opens for dinner as well but only in the weekend (Friday and Saturday). We got the spring rolls ($5 for two) which were the best in Baton Rouge - they were very delicious. I got the pho with beef and my husband got lo mein with beef, shrimp and pork as our main entree. I really like the pho which is on the same level or better than Saigon noodles. The lo mein in my opinion is okay and my husband likes it. They don’t have a lot of vietnamese option like broken rice, spicy vermicelli soup, and braised beef stew - but they have a lot of Cajun options which I would like to try more next time.
Overall, we will come back for more.
Cozy, friendly, feels like family! Big breakfast was big and very good. My new breakfast spot after work. Can’t wait to came back! The biscuits!!!!!!! So delicious I’ll be dreaming of them.
The food is always on point at Cafe Mimi. They have the best shrimp fried rice and sping rolls in Baton Rouge. Their prices have gone up a little bit due to rising food costs. Overall this place is worth the upcharge.
