Good authentic Cuban food. Complimentary Cuban bread. Large restaurant with daily specials. Was quite busy for Friday lunch.

If you noted the tip is 26 dollars ..after I asked why 26 was included they said tips is mandatory for the amount they said ???? place is not clean , amount of food is average . It is crazy that you go a consume and because you consume a large amount then you get punished and has to pay whatever they said for tip. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT All. No visite este lugar no lo conozco recomiendo .
First time here, many more to come. I got the Tuesday special Chicken Fricase to-go and it was absolutely fantastic, chicken was tender and falling off the bone, rice was perfect and the soup left me wanting another bowl.. or two. Plantains were delicious.
I think I’ve found my new go to place for good food, left me fully satisfied after a long days work.

We were here before the pandemic and had Cuban Sandwhiches that were stellar.
Today, we opted for the sampler (Croquettas, Yuca Fritas, & Tamale). Also had the Saturday special, Churrasco Steak with the usual sides including Cuban toast.
Yes, a lot of food for 2 people, we didn't leave hungry for sure.
I used to work near here and I came here every day for lunch for a year, and many times a week for many other years. Al, the owner, has really put his heart and soul into this place since I left work, 13 years ago. (I knew Al and his two sons who worked with him back then so well they threw a birthday party for me one year!) He's added a bunch of vegetarian options to the menu since I last was there. He used to just make them off-menu for me, and those he made are now on the menu, along with a mess of others. Not only is the black bean soup with rice amazing (add a serving of Cuban toast and there's a great lunch!), but they also make a great veg Cuban (that's simply a Cuban without the meat. Some people might find that boring, but I think it's a great sandwich with Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard).
They also have a bunch of Cuban desserts to choose from, including guava and cheese pastries, rice pudding, & bread pudding. I believe these are all homemade, so they might not have everything every day.
Cuban & Mexican sodas and beers are available for sale here, too.
When my husband, his brother, and I ate here the other day there were a lot of ghosts here. I kept waiting for people I know to walk in, some of them are no longer living. Al always says "Hi" to me when I show up. He cares about his customers.
I love going to Cafe Havana. My husband loves going here even more than I do, and he gets out of the house and over to that side of town more often than I do. He likes to rub it in whenever he gets to go here for a Cuban and black beans & rice. I may have to start telling him to bring some home. That's what I used to do for him... I'd bring some home after work. I think he owes me, right?
In summary: This is a GREAT place to eat! The owner is a wonderful person who cares about his restaurant and his customers. If you haven't been here yet, what's stopping you?? Go, NOW! Tell Al that Laura sent you.
Awesome food! Exceptional service! Phenomenally clean and bright. Very good taste in decor to draw customers. Best Cafe I've been to in a long while.
Omgoodness! Super delicious! The best cafe con Leche I have ever had. The black beans and yellow rice is amazing.
Enjoyed some Cubans, tostones and flan. First time at this establishment, the food and service was good. It was more expensive than I had imagined for lunch, but I suppose that's the world we live in today. I think they were having AC issues as they had portable units, but it was comfortable. I'd definitely go back and try something else.
