Best WLM Reviews

The food matches the View for a early morning breakfast at 900. The service was great. And perfectly applied to customers needs
Went during brunch. Had to wait 1 hr for food. Kinda knew it was going to be a wait. I think it was the lack of service. They were nice. The manager compt our food. Maybe if they had extra servers or bartenders it wouldve been nice. When the food came out it was cold. Oh well. Nice views from the bar.
Wonderful experience.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food. The homemade biscuit and gravy or honey butter absolutely must be tried. I'd order that as a meal next time! The homemade key lime pie was to die for. Majority of the group didn't care for the potato side, one of them saying the potatoes were not cooked through, so I took off a star. Otherwise, the food got a round of thumbs up.
The price was fair for the view and dining experience - good for a vacation brunch just once, but not somewhere to go for frugal eating.
The atmosphere was great. Lovely view of the water. The temperature was a bit warm in the dining room, for my taste however. There also needs to be a bit more direction provided to locate the establishment. My Google maps said I arrived while I was standing outside on railroad tracks ????. With a bit of roaming and asking, I was able to locate it. The food was good but we received ours room temperature, which one doesn't expect when eating in. I can only guess they needed additional servers. All of the staff members were polite and cheerful but our server did not check on us frequently enough nor, provide requests timely. The 3-stars for Service are due to the pleasant experience with hostesses and the owner during the visit, otherwise Service would have received 1-star for our server alone.
I would return to Cafe 44 hoping the concerns reported were simply due to having a busy day and not enough staff.
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch with the best view of the water! Nice fall décor inside now that the season has changed. The Brunch Burger with the brown sugar & peppercorn bacon was amazing! Will definitely return in the future.
Our server Sara was amazing. So pleasant and attentive. The Cajun shrimp pasta was really good. The bread pudding was amazing!!! 10/10...atmosphere just makes makesnthe whole experience even better. Highly recommend.
Everything was 10/10 from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We were able to grab a last minute afternoon reservation and we asked to sit outside and wow, amazing views! Tony was our server and he was absolutely amazing. He gave us history about the restaurant and was really great energy overall. The food and drinks were amazing, but wow the restaurant is decorated beautifully and very clean- AND if you get the chance to sit outside on a beautiful day even better! Can’t wait to come back.
This is a beautiful restaurant with incredible views of the Potomac. It gets to be a bit breezy, so be sure to bring a sweater, or ask to turn on the heaters. They have a great selection of food and drinks, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The bourbon bacon salami and Humboldt Fog are delicious from the charcuterie selection. I got the salmon salad and substituted goat cheese for the feta, and it was delicious. I cleaned my plate! Great for a date night.
