Best WLM Reviews

This review is specifically for the Marvel Character Dinner. Overall this was an excellent character dining experience. Every character we met was perfectly playing their role and spent plenty of time chatting and taking pictures with every party. They each visited us multiple times throughout the meal and even made the effort to remember personal details about each party. I can't say enough good things about these actors. As for the food, it's buffet style with a decent variety. I thought all of the food was good, but the dessert selection was pretty minimal. The experience was a great value since the price includes the buffet, the character interactions, as well as all of the professional photos taken throughout your meal. It was very relaxed and not rushed whatsoever. If anyone in your family is a Marvel fan this is a can't miss experience and I would highly recommend it.
Food was great! So much variety and truly, everything was flavorful from the pasta to the mini burgers to the pizza to the macaroons and so much more.. several salad options and more.
For the character meal, each character comes to your table and then you get pictures.. they were warm and interactive and were a big hit with my husband! They were all very interactive and willing to take multiple pictures with the professional photographers (you get those pics for free/included) and your cell phone..
We had a good time. I do wish they would introduce and do a cute skit first…. But they just show up at your table, mid-bite. lol … they were very respectful but still with for an intro.
Worst dining experience, don’t waste your time. We had reservations for 630, we checked in by 610, was told it will be 5 minutes. Got seated close to 7, there were other families who had waited just as long and were told it would be 5 minute wait as well. You could tell the workers were done for the day, finally someone came over to take our drink order who was extremely rude, didn’t write down what our party of 8 wanted, then got made when we corrected them on what we ordered. Still ended up forgetting a drink. Plates were dirty. Food was not good, again could tell we were one of the last tables to get served. We never saw our waiter again. No one offered refills. My son hit is head on the metal chairs and split his eyebrow open, no one bothered to check on the blood curdling screams. We had to go find someone to let them know. Eventually Spider-Man and captain America came over, they were more attentive, acted concerned than any of the workers. Finally the manager came over, he looked like he was 12, called the medical people. In the meantime, my mom came back inside because we needed help with the kids. when she opened the door the rug flipped up and she fell on her knees. Again, no one checked on her. We told the medical guy that she fell and no one checked on her. He even seemed irritated about the whole situation and lack of concern from any of the staff. It was a complete disaster and food was terrible given the price we paid. Definitely not the Disney experience we had the two days prior to Universal.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. You have been warned. I went in with my family as one in my party wanted pizza. We ordered separately but at the same time. The pizza came in about 5 min and was consumed while I was waiting on my order for a salad and pasta. I waited 20 min in total at the quick service Resturant before asking for a refund as I didn’t want to wait any longer as waste the day waiting. By the way, you can only mobile order, no exceptions. When I went to ask for a refund one of the servers behind the counter proceeded to have an argument with me saying “THESE THINGS TAKE TIME” I was shocked as I had simply said I’d like a refund as I don’t want to wait any longer and miss out on rides. She then proceeded to continue to argue with me on why did I bother to order. Even the supervisor had to tell her to leave. Avoid this place
Just finished the reservation-only character meal with Spider-Man, Captain America, Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, and Rogue. Great interactions and photos. Totally worth the $52 per person!
I work in food service, so I generally give the benefit of the doubt when things go wrong at places like this, but this was the most inexcusably bad service and food I've had at any theme park ever. First, the ordering system is extremely confusing. The mobile order didn't have all of the items on the menu so we had to place our order at the register; after waiting about 15 minutes the employees bring us the food. The whole time we were sitting there, multiple people kept walking up to the buffet style area to pick up food and had to be turned away because that's not how you order. In addition, the person working at the register chose what fruit bowls we got. The menu just says "fruit bowl" and there are apparently watermelon and pineapple bowls. She arbitrarily chose 1 watermelon and 2 pineapple bowls without ever asking which ones we wanted (we didn't even know there were multiple options). The fruit bowls then did not even show up on our first tray and we had to ask a second time to get those.
As you can see from the pictures, the food was laughably bad. I don't know how any food service employee could put that breadstick on a plate and think to themselves "this is acceptable to serve." The bread was as hard as a rock and looked like it had been run through a meat grinder before making it to my plate. Honestly impressed that the lady dropping off our food was able to do so with a straight face. As you can see in the second photo, some of the pineapple was also rotten. The pasta was fine I guess, but the whole time I was eating I was just thinking about how I'd probably be fired at my job if I ever served food that looked anything like this.
Excellent character dinner, food was great, the wait staff took great care of us. We only got three pictures with the characters compared to others that had at least triple the pictures.
Cafe 4 is a good place to get a quick lunch at Universal. I ate the chicken parm combo sandwich, which came with a side Caesar salad. Both tasted pretty good. Their ordering system is a bit confusing though because you have to send the requests through the app instead of ordering to an actual person. Besides that, everything else was satisfactory. They’re also very allergy friendly and able to accommodate to just about anything. Overall, I’d recommend going to Cafe 4 for a good lunch.
