I'd popped my head in here one day while walking down the street and asked if they were dog friendly, they'd had such a great response into welcoming him and insisted we came back later for dinner with him.
We done so and, of course, sat on the deck. Spacious and right off the main stretch, fun spot to people watch and and just take in the atmosphere of VA Beach.
Waitress was very attentive. I wish I'd remembered her name because she really was great, kept our dogs bowl full of water, and even brought him treats. She was quick to take our orders and ensured that drinks were always kept full, which meant a ton on a hot evening.
Great shade despite being outside. It was comfortable.
We ordered multiple burgers, lots of drinks, and a huge burrito! Everything came out really well and was full of flavor.
We really enjoyed our dinner here and rated it amongst one of the best family dinners we'd had on the trip. We'll definitely eat here more in future visits!
Ok, if you read the reviews before you go....there is a mixed bag of comments. I caution you to take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and consider the sources (hardly any past reviews contributed to Google and their only reviews are negative) because this place was fantastic! First, we were warmly greeted by Brynn, who, if she hadn't told us it was only her second week there, we would have NEVER guessed. She was attentive, informative and so professional! The food was absolutely delicious and served fresh and hot (if appropriate) and the servings were enough to share! This place was not busy during the weekday lunch time, but we did see a rush flow in about mid-afternoon. None of the tables seemed to be hurting for attention, as the staff was very efficient and attentive. While in the area for the weekend, we will definitely pop back for cocktails.
Stopped here on a whim and was not disappointed. Got the chicken nachos appetizer, Southwest grilled chicken pasta, and a Pina colada and everything was amazing. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here!
I just never had a taco salad with no meat. So I was a little confused so I took 2 my room and added crab. Other than that cool vibes. Great ambiance. Friendly staff.
Great restaurant located on the strip. Customer service was fantastic!
The food was pretty good.
My husband ordered their trio entrée which came with 3 meats and 2 sides.
He absolutely loved it!!!
As did I, I sampled a bite of each of his smoked meats.
My only complaint is that we felt the portions could have been more plentiful for the price of this particular platter.
I ordered their trio taco entrée, while it wasn't bad, I definitely wished I chose another entrée (something along the lines of what my husband ordered) their smoked meats were absolutely delicious.
Our girls kept it simple and ordered their chicken nuggets and fries as well as their nachos and trio dips.
They had no complaints about their nuggets & fries.
The bill was a bit pricey, but that can be expected when dining on the strip.
Overall, the service was great and the food was good!
Wonderful meal! A perfect Southwest Grill. Huge flavorful portions, they don't skimp on anything! Friendly staff. Deserves a better rating than we see on Google. Worth and stop and you'll be back! We certainly will when we are in town!!!
Had lunch at Cactus Jack's Southwest Grill. The Avocado Crab Salad was delicious, and the shrimp platter was a nice mixture of spices and batter on good-sized shrimps. The atmosphere was okay, and our service was good, but the automatic 18% gratuity added to every ticket was a little annoying.

The atmosphere is cool. The staff seem nice. The food, especially for the price, is bland. The meats don't have seasoning, I don't believe, and if they do it isn't noticeable. Now, the sauces they make and drizzle atop the food is delicious. They automatically add an 18% service charge which is split between the server and someone else (maybe the cook? I didn’t catch who she told us split the charge). There is a sign up front where it tells this in small print. We're usually big tippers anyway, but understand some can't afford to add an additional 18% onto their bill. I don't regret having the experience, just bummed by the lack of flavor across the board.
