This was my first time eating from this restaurant and I must say I was very satisfied with my order. It came earlier than what was said. The Grubhub driver was nice too. The cabbage was seasoned to perfection and the oxtails were practically falling off the bones. The rice and beans were nicely flavored from the gravy. I am definitely ordering from here again and I the portions matched the price. I ordered the large and it was truly enough for two people to eat. I highly recommend this place.
Highly disappointed. Ordered through doordash . Now I understand why a large was only $15 . Food was disgusting! This isnt Jamacian food . I dont recommend at all . Unflavorful .
We left with only one of us getting food, just to be polite. A drunk guy with no mask is what we walked in to. And there weren’t many food offerings. What we did order was cold and a bit dry but the flavor was good. Would love to try again during a busy time when the food is fresh and plentiful!
I love this place. I've been back about 6 or 7 times since I first discovered it a few months ago. The lady who works in the front is a charmer, and the jerk chicken meal with cabbage and rice is a stunner as well as being a fantastic value for the money. Easily better than all of the other local Jamaican places I've tried in New Haven. Pro tip: ask her to ladle some of the oxtail braising liquid ("sauce") over the rice. That's what takes the rice over the top.
Terrible if I could give no stars I would. Don't know how they have so many compliments. I used to eat here very often when they first opened. The last time I ordered food from there, I didn't eat it right away. By the time I did which was no less than an hour later, the rice was SPOILED!!! I mean this rice was old old. I got sick from eating there. Don't know how it didn't smell immediately but they sure know how to disguise it. I have never stepped foot in there since!
Got food from this place and the rice was under cook the oxtail barley had flavor in it the gravy was very greasy oily like and they only put 5 small peace of oxtails. And there was boys hanging in front of the restaurant do God know what

Orderd ox tail. You can taste that it wasnt cleaned properly ????Lacked flavor rice dry , no gravy on it, and order didn't even come with cabbage but charged the same price. Will never order from there again!
Great food n customer Service ,very friendly, n professional. Homemade food everyday. Can't go wrong with that. I love going there. The men a really great. Stop in n see for yourself. I never had such delicious Jamaican Food ???? If I could, I would give 100 plus star's. ????????????????????????????????They are open 6 days a week. I recommend this restaurant for their food, professionalism, cleanliness n respect they have for all customers. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
