Holy wow I have so many positive things to say. First off. The flavor of all of the food! I got the vegetarian/vegan sampler plate #1. It came with hummus, grilled veggies, pita,4 falafel, 4 dolmas, and tabouli. The falafel was herbacious, moist, and soo crunchy. My mouth actually watered from how flavorful it was. There was sweet and tangy from the dolmas, smoky from the veggies, fresh from the tabouli. Best part is this whole meal is less than 20 bucks! Will definitely be coming back!
Hole-in-the-wall, immigrant family-run kind of restaurant. Authentic soul food. What else?
Their sauces are rather strong and stinks, which is GOOD! A lot of meat on their dishes; veggies meh... Recommend!
One of the best gyros I have had. The pita bread was super soft. Meat with tender but slightly crispy exterior. Amazing.
Service was just okay. I had lunch at 2pm on a weekday and i, and my partner, were the only customers in the place. So maybe they were not on their A game. I would still certainly go back but a smile or any kind of sincere appreciation from staff would have been nice. They were certainly not rude or mean...just kinda apathetic.
Restaurant it pretty cool with a small hometown vide. A few tables inside and several more outside. Very clean.
I ordered a chicken shish kabob plate. To begin, it was a very generous portion. My order came with marinated & charbroiled chicken, grilled veggies, jasmine rice, hummus, garlic sauce, salad and a warm pita. The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was tender, juicy and well-marinated. The veggies were cooked enough to still have a slight crunch and good flavor. The Jasmine rice was cooked perfectly and complimented the meat and veggies very well. The humus was smooth and tasty. I finished it all. The pita was soft, warm and a decent size.
I also tried their pistachio baklava. It was very delicious. It was not dry or overly sweet, which I really liked. It was crispy on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside.
Caring, attentive and prompt staff. Clean and spacious area. You can dine indoors or in their patio. Limited parking.
Large menu, small shop. Hit and miss. Beef shawarma was very tasty, tender. I liked it,although it could use some veggies. The quinoa tabouli salad was disappointing. Mostly tomatoes and parsley. Very little quinoa and just some lettuce. It could use some feta.
We ate here over the weekend and became bloated a few hours later, which was followed by diarrhea the next day. I should've listened to my gut and not eaten here after seeing how dirty the restraunt was and after observing all the employees handling food without gloves. Nobody was wearing a hair net and following basic hygiene practices. When asked about the size of the catering dishes, one of the employees (the young man with huge fluffy hair) said "uhm, I'm not sure" and didn't even bother saying, let me find out. It also took forever for us to get our order placed. We were just standing and waiting at the register for someone to attend to us when we got there. Then, when we were about to leave, we ordered baklava, and one of the employees charged us for it but never gave us the baklava, and once again, we just sat there waiting for the baklava. So overall, the service was terrible. The food was okay, but the fact that it made me sick tells you that it wasn't handled properly. The one dish I liked was the kafta kabob and gyro. The quinoa tabbouleh was so disappointing. It was mostly lettuce tomatoes and lacking even in parsley flavor. The garlic sauce was like lard. It was solid. The first time I tried a sauce in a solid state! There was no garlic flavor to it. The rice was bland and not warm. It was probably left at room temperature, making me think this is what made me sick or the baba ghanoush. I'm glad I didn't cater from here and risk everyone getting sick.
We seemed to be more of a hassle to the one solo worker doing cashier and cooking. I was so excited to take my friend to try Mediterranean food for the first time. Unfortunately he didn’t like his and nor did I.
Even the ranch smelled bad and tasted worse.
We got the gyro sandwich with fries and it was AMAZING ???? We'll definitely come here again
