If I could give a ZERO rating I would. I was just in there looking for hair and when I couldn't find what I wanted I decided to leave. The woman that works there started SHOUTING repeatedly Give me the hair & when I SHOUTED back what hair?? Shemotioned that I had something under my coat. When I quickly opened my coat to show nothing was there. I got NO apology at all. The gentlemen who works in there did & said nothing. To say that I'm pissed is an understatement. However, I remained calm.
I haven’t shopped there in three years and today I remembered why. The packaging is not priced. Somethings not priced at all. I had five items out of the five items they weren’t priced right I wanted the item because they were cheap per and other stores. She told me that even though the hair was marked 1299 she couldn’t sell it to me for 1299 and that I could only buy it if I bought it for 1799 same thing with a semi permanent hair color I picked it up. It was 599 every other one said 799. The reason why I pick up is because it said 5.99. Long story short don’t Spend a Dime here! And she actually accused me of switching tags. The store is loaded with good stuff but don’t let that deceive you.
Had the worst experience here years ago as a high schooler. I was looking for hair but I wanted to pick a color to switch it up but when you walk inside the building the further you go the dimmer it gets and I used my my flashlight to get a better look at the picture and ig the owner thought I was taking a picture (which still shouldn’t be a problem) and then I was followed around the store when I was looking for more hair supplies TLDR; DONT SHOP HERE! THEY DONT DESERVE YOUR MONEY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONE EXISTENT
NEVER AGAIN!! I went here on the recommendation of a couple people. I showed the owner, Ms Chen, the picture of the style I wanted. She sold me the wrong hai. When I went to get my hair done, the stylist said, “she knew better”.
I called and asked if I could exchange base upon her incorrect recommendation. She said it’s a pandemic. I explained everything was still in the bag not opened. I said multiple places do exchanges and refunds. ( wasn‘t asking for a refund anyway) She told me it was my choice to buy the hair. Not good business I responded. She told me she does what she wants and has been in business for 29 years.
80.00 down the drain. Don’t support businesses that don’t care about the people or community that keep them in business, nor have good customer service. She is ONLY out for a dollar; that’s it.
I could say more. The bottom line is that it wasn’t that she couldn’t make it right, she CHOOSE not to. It is also now my choice to share with people about the horrible service I received.
When I first moved here, this was the store I went to but I never felt comfortable. They watched me like a hawk, unfriendly. When my husband came inside with me one time, the man followed him as if my husband was going to steal. They have very poor customer service. They only wanted my money and did not care about me as a repeat customer. So now, I have 3 other supply stores to go to, Aicha, Beatitudes and Glorified, Black-owned, that care about me, treat me respectfully, friendly, loving, VERY PROFESSIONAL and do not make me feel like a suspect. I actually hate this store. Customer service is not even there. My money will not be going to this rude, unfriendly place again! It's a dump, to say the least. If I could give below zero on this review, I would. Every Black person should boycott this business even if they have what we need or want.
I had a very bad experience at this store. They stole from me, and made me pay double the price that was on the tag. First of all, they didn’t even speak to me when I walked in. They followed me around like I’m gonna steal. Meanwhile, they end up stealing from me. I bought one pack of hair which was $19. When I went to pay for the hair, the lady told me that the total price for my hair and one pack of gel was $51. I didn’t think much of it and I paid then left shortly after. After I got into my car, I checked to receipt and realized that the price of the hair was wrong instead of it being $19 it was $29. So I went back in the store to ask about the incorrect price. The lady at the register said that I was a lier. So I went and picked up 4 of the same packs of hair and asked about the prices. Then she said that all the prices were from last months sale. Then I asked her why the prices were still not changed and I asked asked her how many people have been ripped off/scammed and she said I was the only one. After that I demanded she give a refund on the entire order and then after that I left the store.
Usually I don't leave negative reviews but today took the cake. I went in looking for products to help me finish my hairstyle. After perusing the shelves, I found that several of the products I was looking for were unavailable or over two times their original price. After wandering the aisles for some minutes I found a pack of hair that I thought would appropriately substitute the pack I was looking for. Then I saw the price tag. 27.99 for an 18 inch bundle of braiding hair. I was hot, aggravated and unwilling to pay that price. I took out my phone to search for other stores in the area. I found one that was close and open and decided to go to that one instead. I put the hair back and said goodbye to the woman behind the display case. She called out to me and I walked back to speak with her, thinking maybe she wanted to make some recommendations. Instead, she told me she saw me take a picture which I didn't do. She asked me to delete it before I left the store. Now, at this point I was confused. I knew I didn't take a picture of anything so I explained that I was checking for other listings and showed her the website I was looking at. It was slightly embarrassing but I had nothing to hide. She told me to show her my gallery. O.O I was taken aback but acquiesced for the sake of transparency. Again, I never took a picture so I had nothing to hide. She quickly scanned through the images only to tell me she saw me take a picture and not to come back again. Ma'am, if you're reading this, I hope your day gets better. I have no intentions of ever coming back to your store. You've been very nice in the past but your actions today were deplorable. From invading my privacy to refusing to accept that you were, in fact ,in the wrong. I would rather go to a beauty supply store that doesn't make me feel profiled.
If I could rate 0, that would be my score for them. They're Extremely Rude!!! The man follows you around the store. I saw a different price on a product which was $3 cheaper and, I brought it to their attention and, instead of giving me the product for the price that was stated, the lady took the item from me and placed it behind the counter, so that I couldn't purchase for that price. If that wasn't the most ignorant thing and, when I questioned her about it, I was told to leave and, never return... I've been put out of better places, lol. I could return tomorrow and, you'd never know it was me but, I wish I would Ever spend another dollar, let alone a penny... I did nothing wrong but, I was treated like a criminal, the moment I walked into the store. Its not right to mistreat customers and, from what I understand, I'm not the only one... You guys may have a lot of merchandise but, I'd rather go to Beatitudes or order online before Ever purchasing from your store again... Learn How To Treat People
