Stopped for my lunch about little after 1 pm had no line at all! Recommend to come here after the lunch rush or before the dinner time.. otherwise you will wait on line! Brisket was so good to the point you can have with no BBQ sauce!!
Buster's food is really good. It's likely not up to Real Texas standards, but I personally think it's among the best in Portland.
It's cafeteria style service. But the staff is friendly enough.
Not being a country music fan, you would be unfair of me to rate the decor or atmosphere. Fortunately the food makes up for it.
And it is surprisingly affordable.
Decent food. Service was a bit slow at the counter. No table service. Nice bbq environment. A bit dated
Very expensive. Ribs and brisket were very dry. Garlic bread was cold and no flavor. Toasted on 1 side. BBQ sauce was a bit runny and had too much vinegar taste. Most of staff weren't interested in customer service.
Clam chowder was excellent. BBQ beans were good.
Came here for the southern barbecue. My friend told me this is the best southern barbecue in Portland , and he was right!!! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, full sack of pork ribs and sausages. This is the best pork ribs I’ve ever tasted! The sauce was good too. The brisket has such a good flavor smoked in, but it shows better in the fatter pieces. Recommended to get all the above ☝️
I guess Sunday is a busy day and the chicken meat has to be cooked fast , really fast. The chicken was almost uncooked! I approached one of the employees and let him know that chicken was " alive"
I know that in a restaurant I have the option to order the meat : rare, medium rare , medium, medium well and well-done but today the offer was for every customer : rare at the low end.
Over rhe years I was pleased with this restaurant but today probably the cook did not want to release too much CO2 in the atmosphere, ha ha ha !
My wife and mother in law are from Texas, and I've lived there for the past 13 years until we all recently moved to Oregon. We saw this place and everyone was excited to have it so close to home. But we tried it, and it's just OK. Not nearly as good as real Texas BBQ. And outrageously priced. Kinda buffet style, they have the meats set out and you tell them how what you want and they plate it. Really weird to serve this way.
Sad to have a BBQ restaurant so close, but not worth going to.
I cannot believe I spent $50 here. I had the beef brisket and pork tenderloin, plus mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was lukewarm and bland — no flavor whatsoever. The green beans clearly come from a can and have no seasoning. My “garlic toast” had no garlic butter and was only toasted on one side; so bizarre. Even the lemonade tasted watered down. To top it off, there’s no table service offered except in the saloon, so no one ever comes by to see how your food is. Absolutely some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I will never be back.
