Best WLM Reviews
If somebody asked me about this place, the first thing I would say is: are you looking for amazing food or decent food at a reasonable price? This place is the latter.
It is better than fast food, but if you go to any real dine-in restaurants you will recognize that the quality of this food is a cut below those. However, the food is also amazingly cheap, which is the only reason I am rating this 3 stars and not 1 or 2.
This place doesn't have a dine in, but it does have an area behind the restaurant where I have parked my work truck and eaten the food fresh off the back of my tailgate. The reason I mention this is because I think the food tastes a lot better fresh (although they do wrap certain items to keep them warm), and the quality degrades pretty quickly.
The salsa that comes with chips and salsa is light to medium spiciness. It is very soupy and has no chunks like most complimentary chips and salsa you get at Mexican restaurants around Colorado. The chips are ok. They are fried tortillas and many of my chips were uncooked because they put too many strips in the fryer at once, so a bunch of them stuck together when cooking.
The cheese quesadilla I had was decent. Most I have had I would consider better than the one here but it was only $3 so it's really hard to be critical at that price.
A lot of the fries were also stuck together and were soft even though I asked for them to be cooked crispy, although I do think they had a good flavor. If they were served crispy I think they would be amazing. The cheeseburger that came with the fries was seasoned with way too much salt & pepper and was overcooked. The bun was also pretty dry, so I would not rank this very high among burgers I have had.
Haven't had Burrito's Betty in so many years & they still did not disappoint! Wonderful burritos!
Arrived to a crowd of busy customers waiting for their orders. After 20 minutes, people who came in after us, received much bigger orders than us. Finally I mentioned we are still waiting for two burritos. It seemed like they forgot our order somewhere because the food was only warm, when it is usually HOT out of the bag. Food was as good as it always is, but workers were arguing over who was going to take break, and talking in the back, while people were waiting at the register and for their orders. I realize short staffing is a thing, but what kind of business leaves the front of the store unattended, while small talking in the back... Very poor service.
Small place, good atmosphere and was helped right away. I got a breakfast burrito with Eggs, Potato, Sausage and Green Chili. The burrito was good but I tasted 90% Potato and a little of everything but chili. I shouldn't have to put salsa on a burrito with green chili. This was my first and most likely my last meal from there.
Burrito's Betty is a landmark in Pueblo and its popularity is only rivaled by its delicious food! My favorite order is a beef, bean and cheese burrito with green chili mixed in. The beans are blended until smooth and the cheese is completely melted inside. They are busy most days because the food is so good especially for the low cost. It can be hard to call in an order though so I usually just stop by and enjoy a short wait with other happy customers. FYI this is a take out restaurant, there are 2 picnic tables outside but 99% of customers don't use them.
This is not a restaurant per se. It's more like dropping by your friend's mom's house and eating whatever is in the Crock-Pot. They charge 10 bucks for a regular burrito. It's average. They don't sell horchata or any homemade drinks. Nothing spectacular stands out on the menu for a reason to go out of your way to go there.
This is one of those local matriarchal places either you love it or you don't, NOT Exactly traditional Mexican food but not necessarily for traditional Mexicans, as many that follow me know I can't eat much so am very particular about my food and coming from Los Angeles I am Very Particular about MEXICAN Food to be honest has been a while since had frequented this place and was sad to hear the changes to the menu NO TAMALES, and My Personal FAVORITE The Pablo Burger is NO LONGER created with a fresh custom Bun, the salsa offerings are Flavorful, I don't care much for a wet burrito which is what they serve for the pork avocado burrito, today they didn't have Chorizo but they are a very busy establishment well respected to each there own worth a try these of course are only my personal opinions I do have friends that swear by it the Jerky is good????
This local carry out seems to amaze me everytime I go there. You'd never think this place was even there if you not from Pueblo. But the food is excellent, consistant everytime. The parking seems to always look empty until you walk in and see a crowded room of eager customers waiting for their orders to be called . If you new to our community this place is one place you'll become a regular after you tried the food.
