My family and I had never been to Old Town so we decided to eat at one of the oldest pizza places there. We were looking forward to some great pizza. We ordered thin crust market place pizza. Pizza was not thin. Our whole pizza was not cooked. The whole pizza was raw. The dough was not cooked. The sauce tasted like a cheap sauce. Had no taste at all. When we complained they didn't understand what we were saying and didn't seem to care. They didn't come back to our table. I've never had terrible pizza until I came here.
Fine pizza! We'd probably eat there again. Tasty deep dish and yummy ranch. The Buffalo wings were mid. Fun outdoor eating vibes, the indoor vibes were less fun.
Went to Alexandria on a weekend with my friends and found this gem of a place. The ambience outside was just amazing because of the weather and the crowd. Both Deep Dish And the thin pizza were well cooked. We were all vegetarian and tried veggie dishes and the food was really great. Even the waiter was very good and guided us well as to what to try. Will definitely recommend this.
Great spot in Old Town, able to sit out with some glimpses of the water. Deep dish pizza is absolutely worth every cent. Order a small and that was almost too much food me.
It is hard to beat the combination of location, atmosphere, and great food. Beautiful old building, a big step above most sports bars. The clam chowder and pizza were both excellent, and a good value for the money. Great service. Love it.
I think I ate here for the first time in 1980s and it has not changed much, other than the amazing outdoor seating. It’s good solid pizza and reasonably priced. I prefer the thinner crust pizza versus the deep dish because the deep dish isn’t like a true Chicago style, but if they added a little olive oil and fried the dough, it would be amazing. The staff is friendly and professional, and you cannot beat the location.
We have 4 kids, so they sat us upstairs in the bar. The server/ bartender was nice and cool, but she is also the only bartender which slowed down asking her for little things. Our food was great until we had receipt paper in our pasta. They took the old one and made a fresh one. The flavor of the pennes pasta was nice. Sausage meat sauce with a little marinara kick. We got the Florentine pizza with grilled chicken. Such nice garlic.flavor.
Superb pizza! The deep dish was delicious! Our waiter was quick and the ambience was nice. It was a little hot inside, like there was no AC.
