Had a wonderful pre-birthday dinner on Day 1 of my visit to Buffalo. The food at Buffalo Tikka House was very tasty! While I usually get food at home from a buffet and was not used to the portion size of a menu-based restaurant, these portions are very well sized and at a great price. Everything is made to order, so it's always fresh and hot when served. I gorged myself on the Chicken Tikka Masala, channa masala, and dal mahkani. I definitely want to come back again.
The food is delicious . Recommended Mango chicken, Naga lamb and shrimp biryani. The chef knows what’s he’s cooking lol. The spice level is very good. They might need to work on the presentation to make it more nicer.Definitely will go again for my lunch.
I have to say, after coming from Canada, this place was a great place to stop by and as my first time, I was blown away by the service and food! As an Indian, this really took me back home. Great food and amazing service. Will visit again and best place to gather for amazing food!
A great restaurant to have in Allentown. Lots of great vegetarian dishes and appetizers. I come here regularly and the food seems to keep getting better.
We ordered several dishes to split. The chana masala or chickpea curry is always great, as is the bhindi bhaji okra dish. If you want appetizers, the gobi manchurian is a great mix of crispy and spicy. I'd also recommend the paneer tikka to share as well - firm cheese cooked with onions and peppers in an amazing tikka sauce.
For dessert, the mango lassi and rice pudding are fantastic.
The owners and staff are always very attentive and friendly.
I would highly recommend eating in over taking out if you can. Less waste and food that deserves to be eaten fresh. There is an 18% service fee included but the service is excellent.
Today, I had a delightful culinary experience at Buffalo Tikka House, located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, New York. On a quiet Sunday, with many places closed, my craving for soup led me to this Indian restaurant. My meal began with a bowl of mulligatawny soup. This coconut-based soup was a unique version, notably lacking ginger, yet still delicious.
I followed this with a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade, a perfect palate cleanser.
The highlight was the chicken tikka masala - tender boneless chicken cubes simmered in a special masala sauce enriched with coconut and almond cream, accompanied by garlic naan.
The restaurant is a family-owned establishment, known for its exceptional service and dedication to quality. They pride themselves on being a Halal restaurant, a concept similar to kosher in Jewish cuisine, a new discovery for me. The visit was a complete delight, and I highly recommend Buffalo Tikka House for an authentic and enjoyable meal.
Very good food! Loved the Lamb Korma, Saag Paneer, and the garlic Naan was one of the best!
Authentic Indian, Bangladeshi food at it's finest. The restaurant is small and even though you can dine here. I find it so much easier to just get takeout. The menu is extensive but not intimidating. Service is great and there's no issues with ordering your food online.
Chicken Tikka Masala- Nice entree with plenty of cubed chicken. Sauce consist of coconut and cream, and their special masala sauce.
Butter chicken- Love, Love, love the creamy sweet (not overly) coconut almond sauce. This will be one of my regular orders.
Buffalo Tikka House Biryani special- what a great unique flavor this entree has. Every bit of your taste buds is involved when your habing this entree. Also the proteins (chicken,shrimp, and lamb) in this dish was prepared wonderfully.
Naan- garlic fresh and full of flavor
I’ve tried most Indian places in Buffalo, and Buffalo Tikka House has by far been the most consistent, delicious, and price effective spot. Their new location (right around the corner from their old location on Allen) on Main Street is super spacious, welcoming, and comfy. I always order the garlic chili chicken curry and garlic naan. They never disappoint! Couldn’t recommend this place more.
