Food was good - service was good - was a nice break on our way through the state. Played a little pool too. Will have to remember this on our way back through.
My wife and I stopped in on our way to VA from CO. It was late, so the kitchen was closed for the night, but they were still serving pizzas! The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. He said his favorite pizza was the Chicken Alfredo pizza, and that's what we ordered. It was AMAZING!!! I had a beer on tap for the best price I've ever seen! My wife ordered a Moscow Mule, and it was the best one she'd ever had, I tried it and agreed, so I ordered a Kentucky Mule. Again, the best I'd ever had!!! Before we left, I asked about the wall of $1 bills. The owner said that anyone who comes in and wants to be a part of the bar signs a dollar and he hangs it on the wall. We absolutely wanted to add our names, so we did. This place is truly a gem. Amazing food. Amazing drinks. Amazing prices, and the people/atmosphere are even better! Next time we go through Kansas, we're taking the route through Oakley just for Buffalo Bill's Bar and Grill. If you're in or even near the area it is DEFINITELY worth stopping by.
Great, awesome place in Oakley, KS. Yep, there are locals there, but as a traveler, it's not awkward. A lot of character. It's no chain, and my best guess is they're keeping the prices reasonable for the folks that live nearby, and for that, God bless the owners and everyone that works there.
I was blown away by their normal prices and their happy hour prices, and that was appreciated, since my kids eat as much as I do , lol.
Some of their games in the back were free ("shut the box", shuffle puck). That was pretty cool
Couple other reviews say it was the best burger they've ever had. That's a tough statement to live up to, but if you're hungry, and like burgers, they make a pretty darn good burger.
Other reviews criticize this place as for being a "dive bar". Maybe. Maybe not. If you're not pretentious, I think you can enjoy a nice meal and cheap beer here.
I really appreciate the local folks who all seemed to be looking after each other here. It reminded me a little of "Cheers" from the 80's TV show.
Yeah, it's not recently renovated, and doesn't have the polish like some heartless national chain does, but i came to love the character of this place and the folks that were there, our very nice server included.
(And no, this is not some shill account or friend of the owners)
Typical small town bar & grill with really good food, friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. We were glad we chose this place to dine in. We started with fried pickles, oh my! I had the spicy shrimp salad, yum! My SIL had the chicken strip. There were large, lightly breaded & flavorful. Her future DIL had a hamburger, very good also. We recommend this place to all.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Mighty fine burger and fries. Friendly proprietor and laid back atmosphere.
Great dive bar, great burgers, fun and friendly staff.
Popped in for a quick lunch. Patty melt and fries were great. Don't forget to try the cheese curds. Bartender was fun, attentive, and talkative. The cook even made an appearance.

Best Burger I have ever tasted. Called this place at 9:38pm on a Thursday. The man that answered says “what’s one more order gonna hurt, come on”. 20 minutes later I had my food and was at my hotel. Bar keep is prolly the owner truly genuine customer service to the 10th!! EAT HERE !
Stopped in here from out of town. The food was really good the waitress is great. And the chicken tender meal special. Came with tenders breast. Mashed potatoes gravy and green beans. Suggested to all. Local first.
