Buds bar got bought out. The new owner is Chad. This is a great bar turning into the best bar within 10 counties!
I love bar food, and this place did not disappoint! Probably the best patty melt I've ever had.
We were out of town visitors who needed a place to relax and visit after a ceremony at Spring Valley Cemetery. Everyone was so nice and the food was excellent. Thank you to everyone at Bud's for giving us a nice visit together.
Late this summer, we lead a group of Corvettes from central Iowa, to the Steamer Bertrand in western Iowa. What was a great trip, quickly turned into a nightmare of a stop at Bud’s Bar & Grill. Upon planning the route for that day, we also call the businesses to arrange times we plan on being at their businesses. We also call on the day before the event, and then again when we are about 30 minutes away, just so we have clear and concise communication.
When we arrived at Bud’s Bar & Grill, our members arranged enough table and chairs for all of us to have a seat. This place acted like we never even called about eating lunch there!!! The one waitress was very rude, confused the meal orders, and seemed agitated that we were even there. It also seemed as though the customers were blamed for incorrect orders. How was the food there? I don’t even remember what I ordered because of the mess this establishment created. I do know that several members were not happy with their food! But, here is the kicker! Customer A and customer B were the first to place their orders. Everyone received their orders except for customer A & B. We flagged the waitress regarding this and she rolled her eyes into the back of her head and stormed away from the table. She returned to the table with one meal for customer A (which was cold), but nothing for customer B. Finally he had to reorder his meal and then he was eventually served. Could it be that our member was singled out due to his race? Seems rather obvious!!!
Then, when finished eating we all went to the register to pay our tabs. That same lady was again very rude to our members!! A lot of our members left little to nothing for tips, solely based on her attitude. I was speaking with a group that came in on motorcycles, and they were equally angry with the service they were provided. The waitresse’s attitude alone was enough to never stop again. BUT, serving one of our members last “potentially due to his race”, was UNACCEPTABLE IN SO MANY WAYS!!! Shame on them!!!!! Our Club likes to support small businesses, but this waitress has given Bud’s Bar & Grill a huge black eye!!!!!
Corvette Club of 16 had a reservation weeks in advance and confirmed hours before. Food took a long time, orders came out sporadically. Many orders were wrong. I personally had the pork tenderloin. It was the driest, least tasty sandwich I've ever had. Group of bikers arrived after us were livid due to the long wait for food.
Eat somewhere else.
We were vacationing from Alexandria MN and stopped in for a beer, food and information on Saturday April 9. Triple bullseye! Cold beer, great food and Brady and crew provided us with a map of the area and a great campground, Willow Lake Recreation. Great place to visit! Staff is wonderful!
Great little bar ,people that work there are really friendly as well as the local regulars . There is people dancing ,it's all upbeat and fun. The food is probably the best of the pizza, hamburger. sandwiches and hot wings catagory. I've never eaten food that good for the price. My man gets an all meat pizza once a week, he swears by them. I like the Philly cheese steak one myself. They get the food to you twenty minutes and they will make it to go if you want to take it home to eat. Call ahead they will have it waiting for you. The owner doesn't skimp on the toppings or meat. Which is a pleasant surprise. If you don't have plans on Halloween they are having a fun Halloween night with a real psychic there giving readings. Come down and have some fun . That's where I like to have fun on weekends.
Was visiting Moorhead with my grandmother who grew up there. We stopped in for lunch and had an amazing bacon cheeseburger. If your driving through, definitely stop in!
