Took them rear half of exhaust. They just needed to cut the pipe to length slide on and weld. Bottom line is I was there a total of 20 minutes. They charged me 100.00. They needed no hangers because it had two bolts in back which I supplied. I guess they charge over 200.00 a hour. I won't ever be using them again. Don't get screwed like I did.

This place is ran by a bunch of con artists. They quoted me a $150 to repair my exhaust. When I went to pick up the car. They told me my total was $230.00. They said the car ended up needing more work done, but they never call to authorize the difference. I have been a mechanic at a dealership for over 20 years they told me the second visit. I had that I needed a whole exhaust system replaced. I ended up getting a second opinion and got it done for $130.00.
Needed a rusty muffler and tailpipe replaced. The shop got the parts in, had my vehicle on the lift as soon as the shop opened at 8 AM, and the job done under 1H. No nonsense, straight to the point techs. Parts and labor prices very agreeable for the work performed. ????????????
The guys at budget muffler in kent charged a family member $1100.00 to replace 1 out of 2 catalytic converters and scab in an 8” piece of undersized pipe. Aftermarket catalytic converters for that vehicle range from $250-$375 and they probably get them cheaper than that. So where is the $700.00+ in labor at? I went in and asked for the pricing and what they charged for their “shop rate” and was told “that’s just what it cost” they refused to give me any explanation as to why this job cost $1100.00… I’ll be attaching pictures of this great restrictive undersized pipe they welded in because “they were being nice” and got rid of a piece of flex pipe that was there. They’ll never get mine, my family’s or my friends business after this experience. Not only do they make money off the exhaust work they do they get to turn around and sell your factory catalytic converters to recyclers and make a good chunk of change off of that as well. Update as of 9/25/23 these guys are still in business and still scam artists. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle else where to get worked on. Every vehicle that gets taken there “needs a new catalytic converter” these dudes are trash.
Not surprised, just disappointed. Had a few friends say they’d had work done there, so I gave it a shot. I had NOT seen all the trash reviews, and that’s MY bad. Dude gave me the run around to even LOOK at the car, took a week before he “had time.” Then ordered the part which took another FULL week. Acted surprised that I couldn’t just, LEAVE the car there for a week. Then, when the part finally GOT there, took another 3 days before he “could get to it.” Then when he DID get to it, called me at work to inform me that “something else had broken” and it would be well over $1k. I freaked out and had my dad, a retired mechanic, talk to the guy. The thing that “broke” was the guys fault. So my dad worked it out that Dad got the part and then the guy at the shop only charged us for the initial part, but still way too much for time and labor.
SO.
Unless you have a mechanic or a guy with a good lawyer, maybe don’t give them a shot.
AND.
God forbid.
Don’t go in there and be a lady and not have any dudes for backup or he WILL try to grift you.
I had an immediate emergency with my exhaust system, I pulled directly in and they help me immediately !! Within a half an hour they got me back on the road. I highly recommend this Business!
Great work and the best prices around go to shop for everything except transmissions
