The room is newly remodeled fresh paint and carpet. Very clean , bed very comfortable! The room is very basic , but the cleanliness is well worth it!! Non smoking is a plus No odors! Pet friendly, very quiet , and over all an excellent place to stay!! The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating, makes you feel at home!!! I will stay here anytime I need a room . Excellent restaurant next door . Also room for my semi truck and trailer in gravel lot next to hotel.
This hotel was a good hotel. They are working on it and trying to make it great and I am sure they will. It was quiet and I got a great night's sleep. Also I was pleased that they use gain detergent. I felt like I was sleeping at home on my own bed for a change. The air conditioning in my room was not playing any games. I am telling you half way through the night I had to unplug it and when I woke up I was still cold. Overall they earned their 5 stars from me.
The amenities are older but clean. Not many places that are this cheap have things like microwaves and minifridges like this one does. Right on the interstate making it easy to get back on the road as well as being between a gas station and a restaurant. The owner Chris was very friendly and helpful, he went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. I've stayed in some dirt cheep places. Usually they tend to be pretty sketchy but Budget Inn was cheap, comfortable and clean. Thanks again Chris, next time I'm out that way I'll be staying here again.
I knew when I made the reservation that this was not The location of this motel may be it's best feature. It's right off I-44 with a restaurant and gas station within walking distance. It was pretty quiet for being right by the interstate. I did not deal with the staff personally so I can't speak to that aspect. At first glance the room looked clean and well kept, but that was not the case. I'm not entirely convinced the beds had clean sheets. I found long hair in mine the morning my sister and I checked out (both of us have short hair). The carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed, and the bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived. There was long hair in the shower, the shower curtain was filthy, the rim and seat of the toilet were dirty, and the toilet was NOT properly bolted to the floor. The room had not been stocked with enough towels or any spare toilet paper. I think my sister made at least three trips to the office to get random things for our stay. The room was very dimly lit which made getting ready in the morning a bit challenging. I knew when making the reservation that this was a budget motel so I didn't expect much. I was hoping it would at least be clean though! This will likely be my first and last time staying at this motel.
Super friendly front desk service, fast check in and great prices! Needed a room on a last minute basis and was quickly accommodated. Would stay again next time I need a room. Very clean comfortable rooms with small fridge and microwave.
We stay there once a year to attend a Bluegrass Festival close by. New owners are doing a good job of taking care of the motel. They are very pleasant and helpful. Rooms have small fridge, microwave, looked like new comfortable beds, really all you can expect for the price. Have reservations for next year.
This was not our first visit to the Budget Inn. However, it appears it will be our last. We had stayed for almost 2 full weeks last summer while we were closing on our house. So when we needed somewhere to stay while our power was out, we drove almost an entire hour to stay there again, it was peaceful and clean. We ordered pizza on the way and were exhausted and ready to bath the kids and get into bed. We were given a nonsmoking room, which is fine and actually is what we usually ask for anywhere else. I am a light smoker, however, I told him it wouldn't be a problem because I didn't smoke much. After getting the kids in bed I stepped outside for a quick smoke break before bed. I smoked my cigarette, let it go out in my hand and carried it inside as to not litter the parking lot. I disposed of it in the toilet, I admit not the best choice, however I didn't want the smell to linger from the trash can. Just my luck the toilet somehow stopped up and my cigarette butt was left in the toilet. My card was charged an extra $100. When I realized this, I called to ask why. I was not hateful, I didn't even ask nor demand my money back. I simply wanted him to believe that I didn't smoke in his room. Not only did I follow the nonsmoking room rule, for extra brownie points I kept the parking lot cleaner. My reward?? An extra hundred from my bank account, which caused my check for my electric bill to bounce, now because I am out this unforeseen charge and obviously will not get my money back, I am trying to find someone to loan me 100$......on top of all of this I was rudely cut off, and hung up on. And I wasn't even mad. I understand why he thought I smoked in the room, but I honestly did NOT. I called back, no answer, and I left a message which I have recorded since I was told to take him to court for my $100 before he hung up. Such HORRIBLE customer service. And of all businesses to be running.... Hospitality is not your high point. I hate this happened my family really did like staying there.......
This was an awesome deal for the price! We just needed a place to sleep and shower while on a road trip and this place was clean, new, and quiet. There was a mini fridge and microwave, which was more than I expected. Mostly I just wanted to find a place where I didn't have to worry about getting bedbugs and this exceeded those expectations. The guy at the front desk was very courteous as well. Highly recommended for a basic room!
