Bud Murphy's is the real deal. Local charm and atmosphere and great food. I had the chicken and gravy on mashed potatoes and biscuits. Fantastic. Good beer selection. Price is very good. Service is excellent.
Stopped in today for lunch. First time here and can honestly say the food is amazing. I had the breaded cod fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The fish was melt in your mouth delicious. The fries were seasoned perfectly and tasted delicious as well. My fiancée ordered the gluten free pizza and I couldn’t even tell it was gluten free that’s how delicious it was. We got all of this food plus drinks for $21 which is such a great deal for such good food! Service was also great, very attentive and polite wait staff even though they were fairly busy. I will absolutely be back!
Great people, place, and usually food.
I understand you can get unlucky one meal, however, to be serving the public food all safety precautions should be applied 100% of the time. No excuses.
I ate a hamburger last night there, it tasted good enough as usual to eat. However, I noticed a taste of was slightly off but maybe it was just because it lost its warmth by the time we got it home. Nope. I’m not sure how it was prepared but that burger had my stomach doing flips all night long, sweating, turning. Eventually it was time to wake up and go to work, went to put my pants on and vomit what looked to be the sauce dripping off the burger. I missed 2 hours of work cleaning my carpet and myself off.
Again, this is the first time I’ve had this experience ever let alone bud murphys and I think regardless of high demands, or any circumstance you should not serve food that is not safe for consumption. Just warn everyone to pay close attention to your burgers.
My friends and I came for dinner around 8:30PM. This was my first time here and I found it interesting that we had to find our own table. We walked through the restaurant to find available seating.
Since it was busy, it did take longer than usual to receive our food. However, our waitress was great. She came and took our orders right away. She made sure to check in and provide refills on our drinks.
There was a $2 special for margaritas. I ordered the watermelon margarita but I was disappointed because it tasted like grapefruit. My friends also ordered the same drink and said it tasted like strawberry or medicine. When we ordered our second rounds, the drinks actually tasted like watermelon. But the inconsistency of the flavor of the drinks were disappointing.
Everyone ordered different items. I had the “THE PITTSBURGHER" ...$7.95 Philly Steak
Fries, Vinegar Slaw Piled High on Italian Bread. The steak had no flavor, thankfully the vinegar slaw helped it a bit. Fries tasted cold. I ordered onion rings and I’m happy they came out hot and fresh. My friend ordered the chicken basket and they said they didn’t have any and there was no pizza. Lots of items weren’t available and our waitress said they shouldn’t even be on the menu.
Overall, it was your typical bar food. Nothing exceptional but it hit the spot. Free parking available.
My boyfriend and I use to really liked this place when we the area, but in the last 3 years it's went downhill. We gave it another chance today. The table / booth was dirty. Was Never wiped off. I was handed a menu and when I opened it onions or something fell out of it on me and my shirt. I ordered boneless wings, received small chicken nuggets pieces. We wasn't impressed at all with the food, service, cleaness of the place that use to be good.
Great food with amazing prices!! Got a white pizza calzone with tomato and it was delicious!! Boyfriend got garlic wings and they were delicious too!
Always a large menu of great food. Service at bar is a bit slow at times. Food is ample portions
And served at perfect temperatures. Atmosphere is decent but loud most of the time
Due to very busy Atmosphere. It is a highly favored restaurant and has a very large clientele. I recommend this restaurant over probably 95% of all restaurants I've eaten in.
This place was a lot bigger than I thought! You know the kind of place that just looks like they have good food? This is it. Great wings and awesome burgers. The price was a lot cheaper than I had expected too. My burger & fries were like $9. Beers were $2.75 too. Crazy good. Really recommend checking it out if you're in the area. They had signs all over saying they had the best pizza around, but we were too full to try.
