I have been going to Joe at Bucks for my hair cuts since I moved to Texas in 2015. He is an old school barber who takes excellent care of his clients. If you’re looking for a real good barber, a hot shave, and great conversation go see Joe!!!
Joe is an expert and miracle worker! I am trying my first beard and dropped in with a fuzzy mess and he cleaned it up and it's now sharp looking and professional.
The shop was closed for a while, VERY Glad he is back!
Prices are great and there's no better Barber around!!!
Mr. Joe has been cutting my Grandson's hair. Since he was 4 yrs old. He is now 21 yrs old. We love Mr. Joe

Joe is a very nice person, and gives a great haircut. Also great conversation. Also doesn't kill you with his prices
The classic rural barbershop feel permeates this hall of haircutting. Posters of Barney Fife and old westerns combine with folksy plaques to evoke the sense that one sits in a rural hall of men's wisdom.
Joe does it all, including cleaning up lines, beard trims, and straight razor shaves. A standard haircut and beard trim can be had for around $20-ish.
However, one needs to come with cash because credit/debit cards are NOT accepted. And folks, I pray the one does not forget to tip the person improving one's appearance--so carrying a few greenbacks would be a good idea.

Joe cuts my hair perfect, every time. He is also easy to talk, and joke with. Shop is clean, and easy to get in and out. The place has character and its great to still have a business to go to in Downtown Kilgore. Thanks Joe!!
