Service was good, but out of beef and ice cream when I went (and out of elk and chicken shortly after, so only hot dogs). Ok, I guess we'll take two double elk. Well, they only had three patties of elk. Fine, a double and a single. The absolute dryest burger I've ever had, and not a great flavor. All the flavor of the sandwich came from the bun and condiments. The other locations have good burgers, so wondering what the difference is here. Again, service was good, but the quality of food and quantity of food they stock leaves a lot to be desired.
The food is great. The service personnel were very polite. This is not a place to grab something quick. It takes a long time from the time you order to actually get your food. I've read some of the other reviews. They are accurate with the time it takes. However, I believe they deduct the star rating TOO much for this. The food is above average. One review stated the burger was worse than McDonalds. Untrue. In my opinion, the wait cause frustration and that errantly hurts the overall establishment's rating.
This is solidly good food. Polite and sincere front end service. Just a wait. And, as with ALL airport food, it's pricey.
Definitely one of the best burgers that I've ever had in an airport.
When I got here, they were not busy and I ordered right away. I waited about 12 minutes which was okay because the burger was cooked fresh.
I got the elk burger with two patties and it was really big.
This was one of the best and one of the biggest burgers that I've ever had in an airport. It was very flavorful, the patty was fresh and overall it was really flavorful and good.
This place is utterly disgusting.
I ordered chili from the kiosk and paid for it. They then said they were out of chili AND refused to give me a refund!!!
After complaining, they magically found some spoiled chili they gave me a in drink cup.
This place is a health hazard and a racket. It’s not a real restaurant. You’re risking your families health eating here.
The flavorful, toasted bun and actual griddle cooked hot dog explain why it took 14 min for this hot dog. Excellent flavor from everything with plenty of onions and cheese. The chili isn’t really made for hot dogs, runny, consider a spoon to drain the liquid if you add to your dog. Might come back to try another item and hope for more personality from Joseph if he takes my order. I’m the end, hot dog and flavor 4-5 stars but customer service and wait time add penalty points for an overall 3 stars.
Bub’s Burgers
On a recent trip through Indianapolis airport, I had a bit of extra time before my flight. I opted to grab a bite to eat at Bub’s Burgers. I chose the single Elk Burger, which was quite good, along with a decent helping of hot and fresh fries. While the food was of good quality and hit the spot, the price for a burger, drink, and fries came to about $22, a bit pricey for a hamburger!
For starters, I waited a half hour for my food. Once I received my food, I was missing some items but had no way to prove it since the receipt only contained my total and unfortunately did not list what I ordered. The girl at the register was sweet and tried to help me but the employee in the kitchen dismissed me and since they started boarding my flight I had to take what I had. My burger was also a little burned.
Got a Egg, Cheese and Sausage Breakfast Sandwich.
It was a very slow Friday morning at the airport and nobody in line. I ordered my sandwich and I was a little taken back that it was premade and holding.
Egg was a bit overcooked, the sausage was good but the reason it was worth it was the bun. The bun made the entire sandwich.
Bub’s is okay for a quick hit sandwich in the morning when you don’t want cold sandwiches available at the airport shops.
