Best WLM Reviews

A well deserved edit: It was worth the hype. After being invited in by the family to try their food again I am pleased to say round two was exceptional. My husband had the veal Saltimbocca. A velvety smooth sauce which was rich in flavor was pored over perfectly cooked veal cutlets wrapped in generous slices of prosciutto. Pair in the green beans and mashed potatoes and they served up an amazing dish. really knocked it out of the park. I ordered the ravioli with sausage. I love a Al dente pasta and this ravioli did not disappoint. Light and fresh, cheesy and delicious with a great red sauce. Really enjoyed my sausage as well. Also tried the meatball calzone as an appetizer. Highly recommend that as well.
I am so glad to have been invited in to try Bruno’s again. It was a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband. We will certainly return.
My previous review had been of a not so great take out meal. I don’t feel it is fair to leave it up after tonight’s meal. Consider my mind changed. Thank you, Danny.
I came from upstate New York where Italian food is King and this is the only place I have found since then that measures up. It's a little pricey but the quality of the food And the excellent service makes it a dependable and very special place. I love the choice of dining room or bar atmosphere, and I love seeing the families enjoying themselves over good food. Good times and laughter abound here.
Would not recommend, the chicken parm is basically just chicken tenders with pasta and sauce but it was a tiny portion. Then the chicken parm sandwich was inedible, chewy chicken, soggy bread. We didn’t eat the sandwich and told the waitress but they didn’t offer any solutions. Would not recommend, only thing good was our waitress, she was very kind and friendly.
Been in southern Maine for 22 years and have heard of Bruno’s but never been. That changed this past weekend and I can say I’ll be back. Didn’t go for the pasta but had their NY sirloin and my good it was good. The mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever had!! Rivals some of the local steakhouses. Nice ambiance and was nice to see the owner get up from his table while he was eating and thank us for coming sincerely. I recommend this place 1000%.
My meal was pretty good, though the portions are wicked small and pretty pricey. Waitress forgot half my order, didn't bring water or bread. Was disappointed, as was my dining partner, who didn't receive what was ordered as well. $90 for 2 small portions and 2 drinks. Had high hopes.
Over all a very good place to have dinner...we had different things, I had the lasagne and she had one of the specials. They were both quite good and filling...left no room for dessert. It was a good mix of people...I'm sure we were the only tourists in the place. Would go again if I lived here.
Do not order the Eggplant Parmesan Dinner as it is the same size is the Eggplant appetizer w/small amount of pasta. Not worth it!!! Very disappointed as go there often and waitstaff great!
I started my day wanting lasagna. Maybe Garfield cartoons influence my mind.
I am happy to say I got what I wanted here at Bruno's.
I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella. So good. I wanted lasagna and it was ao good. Cheese and sauce and meat in perfect contrast to each other. The garlic toast is soft where it needs to be and crunchy where it counts! Love it all! I will definitely come back for more. There is so much more I want to try here.
