The coffee shop in slade was overrun with hikers. We set off to find a sit-down place in the area. Bruens didn't disappoint. The ham and bacon were like premium cuts. Good portions on the rest of the food. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was yummy, quick and priced inexpensive! Not too busy, I believe mostly regulars. Highly recommend to go here verses Slade as it is over packed!
This was a wonderful little find. This diner had delicious food and a down home atmosphere that is not found in the larger chain restaurants. The one waitress did an impeccable job taking care of the entire place! She is definitely under paid and needs to be tipped well. My husband had the French toast and sausage. It was delicious, French toast was cooked perfectly, soft on the inside and a bit crispy in the edges. I had the best bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Cooked perfectly with a hint of pink on the inside. The outside of the building is very deceiving to what is on the inside. We will definitely stop by again if we pass through the area and would recommend anyone else to stop by.
Food was absolutely amazing some of the friendliest wait staff anywhere ..went back for breakfast .. only one waitress workin wasnt offered refills and took a long time to get someone to ring us up..

We found this little gem on a spontaneous road trip and were very delighted. I had a sausage and egg sandwich with onion, tomatoe and mayo. It was perfect! Hubby had a breakfast plate with bacon. Eight pieces of bacon!!! So yummy! The biscuits and gravy were the best I've had in a really long time!! We'll definitely be back when in the area. Very affordable and service was excellent.
Great place for home cooking! Breakfast! Big portions and huge sausage pattys. I would highly recommend and I'll be back!
Fast friendly table service. Great home cooked meals. Reasonable priced menu. Generous portions of food and served fresh and hot to your table. Our group all picked from the specials and they were delicious!!
