My wife and I have been going to Brown’s for more than 10 years and have absolutely loved it every time. Today however, this was not the case. It became clear that the management has taken some questionable actions that has seriously diminished the quality. They have started cutting the chicken breasts in half, ultimately leaving them dry and tough. Additionally, the chicken was barely warm. They also changed the gravy which tasted like an instant mix. Yuck!!! We couldn’t even eat it. We arrived at 2:00 PM and they close at 3:00. At 2:20 the staff was already turning off the heaters on the buffet table and were putting food items away. There were several other things that didn’t set well with us but I think y’all get the drift here.
We’ve decided that we’ll give it another try at a later date, but if it’s the same, we will not be returning. It will be very sad.
Trying to cut costs by changing the core buffet items has only diminished your quality. We would have no problem paying more, so long as the quality is restored.
When I tell you, I left here full as a tick, I mean it. Fried chicken, collard green, the Cole slaw… oh my gosh the Cole slawwww… The gentleman with a red beard was absolutely amazing. He was very tentative to everyone in the room. Brought drinks before we needed, was there waiting with to go cups, just amazing service. We will be joining you again for breakfast in the morning! 10/10
The buffet is less than 13.00 per person, including drink. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! True southern hospitality. The tea is fresh-brewed and delicious. The chicken cacciatore was just the right blend of sweet/sour/spicy/salty. The fried chicken was what you'd expect in any respectable southern restaurant; crispy, juicy, and fabulous. Fresh salad bar, and plenty of desserts. The potatoes were clearly instant, which was the only slight disappointment. Unbelievably great for such a low price, and the staff is so gracious, it's completely worth the experience. When a place is busy at 3:30 on a weekday, and full of longtime regulars, you know it's successful, and for good reason.
I’ve come here for both breakfast and the lunch buffet. They never disappoint! The servers are friendly and the prices are good. Their fried chicken is amazing!
Staff is nice and accommodating. I had the luck to try breakfast n lunch. Pretty good for what we paid for. Fried chicken was delicious ????
Very good food. The only problem that I have is that. The price is way to expensive $18 for all you can eat. That is highway robbery. What I’m gonna do is I’m gonna go there and sit there for 4 or 5 hours And watch a movie on my phone and eat and I want to see what they gonna say. It might be spiteful, but I don’t care there are places that are cheaper than that place to eat
True family country buffet. Great price of 11 bucks with drink. Homemade sweet tea for me. 10 bucks with water. Good fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork, corn bread,mashed potato. Regular American basic fare. Salad Bar is there as is desert bar. But saving room for desert is hard you can do it!
Great spot for fried chicken/fried pork chops!!
Buffet has the usual selections along w desserts.
Fairly priced too ($15 for buffet & drink).
