Best Place To Go Hands Down! I’ve been coming here for the past 8 years since I moved down from NC. It is hard trying to find a new automotive shop that won’t rip you off or oversell you. Brown’s will work with you, has great service, gets you in and out (if nothing major is wrong), is upfront with you, and has very good decent pricing (This coming from a budget shopper lol). I recommend him to everyone who asks who’s my mechanic.

Cant speak highly enough about the owners and mechanics at Browns. These guys have integrity, great work ethic and HEART.
They have always shown me professionalism and respect, they do not upsell or lie about things needing to be fixed that aren’t broken, they are quick, efficient and kind.
They are locally owned and operated for over 30 years and as their sign says - they must be doing something right. Indeed they are!!!
As a female and also someone whose family owned an auto repair shop I can tell you they are the best in Nashville ♥️
I’ve had quite a few issues with my car in the last month, and each time I’ve brought it to Brown’s they’ve done an excellent job. They’re transparent about the work that needs to be done, and I never have to worry about being overcharged or misinformed about the repair process. On top of that, they are very efficient and my car is always ready before I expect it to be. I’m so glad to have found an auto shop that I trust.
Finding a good mechanic is difficult but Browns is the exception to the norm. They have taken care of our cars and have provided some of the best service I have found in Nashville. There is a reason they've been in business for 40 years. I am glad to have found them.
I could not speak any higher of this establishment. I am from out of town and they were completely transparent with me as if I were their own daughter. They did not have the part to fix my vehicle so he gave me the exact diagnosis and reiterated that he does not mind if I take it to the dealership, albeit it'll cost me more, but he just wanted to make sure I was safe and had it taken care of. I called back with multiple questions after the dealership tried confusing me, and he answered them all patiently and with confidence. I would absolutely trust them with my vehicle any time.
I've taken my 06 Honda Civic here twice with the same issue (check engine light, slipping transmission). The first time (Dec 18) they charged me $250 to rewire the linear pressure on the transmission. My car ran without the check engine light for about a month.
Coming home from work the other night, my car starts shaking when idling and the check engine light comes back on. I have towed back to the shop on Jan 27. I was told it would cost $750 for a tune up which included, "spark plugs, coil packs, ani filter, yada yada yada." I didn't appreciate being told "yada yada yada" so I asked for an itemized receipt when I got to the shop. I was refused an itemized bill because they "don't like being asked questions."
They are shady. You should always always be given an itemized receipt. They should even take photos of the damage and what they replaced if you ask for it.
I will NOT be returning.
Brown's Automotive is the Best! I found them when looking for an affordable oil change. The customer service is beyond excellent, and they do Great work. This is the only automotive shop I bring my vehicle to. I highly recommend them to anyone who has automotive needs.
The guys thetr are super nice and do not overcharge. They worked on my car, and it is now running perfectly. Thanks gentlemen for your hard work!
