Check with BBB before bringing your vehicle in. Absolute low life operation - both father and son. Brought a car in years ago to which they did nearly two thousand dollars in damage and simultaneously selling me a lemon while working on my original vehicle. A report was filled with the BBB after the son threatened to physically assualt me when I told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the damage they'd caused,
I have been a customer for a few years now, I still drive up the hill for my repair needs. After reading some of the reviews I have this to say... David has always listened to my thoughts on my vehicle issues and has never tried to upsell me on unnecessary work. There is no father son part of his business, that is obviously an old Hill grudge. Let me know where you can find better hourly shop rates...
Best mechanic in town. The owner Bob was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I had them replace a clutch in our company pick up truck and they got me right in, did it in less than a day and didn't take advantage of me financially. I'd definitely recommend Brown's Auto for all your automotive repair needs.
Amazing people. I made an appointment to replace my entire rear light (large) which I purchased online. They quoted me $50. I made an appointment and told me to come back in 20-30 minutes. As I was walking next door to get something to drink, they yelled, "If you can wait 2 minutes it will be done". They tested it top, rear and bottom.
I waited a few moments and when I tried to pay, he said no charge. Wow, I didn't know that businesses did that. I will make them cookies.
They have my business! I told my son and now he is taking his vehicle in (major repair) and he lives 50 miles away.
PS the auto body shop in Rocklin quoted me $150. Synthetic oil change is $40.
There great mechanics and have great prices and they will work with you.
Which makes dealing with these guys enjoyable, remember nobody is perfect and if you have an issue with your vehicle after they have worked on it, call em and take it back they are always very helpful, and understanding,

Great price on oil changes
Scum bag. We met David brown through craigslist when we needed to buy my son a car. David came across as a very honest man and we trusted him. One month later, transmission is gone on it and he blamed my teenage son- which bothers me bc my son has a non verbal and mental challenged sibling he would never purposely ruin his own family. A quick internet search of David revealed he has two judgments, a failure to appear in court, a criminal history and a recent bankruptcy in 2016. But Don’t take my word for it, look it up for yourself. I’m filing a complaint with BBB, and since I have spoken up other people have stepped forward too. David is a deceiving lying sack and takes what he can from whoever trusts him. His past will one day catch up. Best things u could ever do, is run away and save yourself from the lying sleaze bag and find someone more respectable.
I have doing business with Dave for couple years and always does great work. If you have a problem just bring it in and he makes sure it gets fixed. Great People.
