Best WLM Reviews
This is a cool spot. I had the fish tacos and they were excellent. I haven't been to California in a while and these took me back, they were so good. The desperado fries were a melty goodness of grilled steak, mushrooms, onions and red peppers. Just a cool place to eat and chill.
I came here on a rainy Friday when there wasn't much traffic. But as an out of towner I thought it was gem of a place. Nice setup for people who wanted either high tables, traditional tables or a bar seat. The TVs were conveniently placed and my food was great! Only thing is that they were under new leadership so still waiting on their liquor license but that's sounded like it was coming real soon. The waitress/hostess was awesome ????????.
Pretty disappointed. First the waitress delivered food to another table and walked next to my table and said "I really hate people today" about 20 feet from the table she just took food to. The bartender saw I heard and said don't worry she won't be your waitress. Yikes. The desperado fries and Johnny Cash burger were what I was craving. The 3 times I ordered that in midtown was outstanding. This time the fries were over cooked, the pepper and onions were greasy and there was no sauce or cheese. The waitress explained they don't do the sauce anymore but the menu and website say pepper jack cheese. There was no cheese. Just over cooked fries and meat and greasy onions. It was dry. The hamburger also had no cheese, it was dry and lackluster, worse than fastfood for double the price. At midtown the burger was so big you couldn't fit into your mouth. This one was flat and dry. Also I ordered salad and they brought me fries. They did correct it. I was very very disappointed. Was not a $50 meal.
Stopped in for an early lunch on Saturday and found they had a weekend brunch menu as well. Chicken and waffles were excellent. The chicken was boneless, which I'm good with when adding syrup to my fried chicken and want to use a fork, waffle fluffy. The menu overall had lots of delicious looking options. Good beer selection. The attitude, service and effort of the staff was top notch. The outside says roadhouse all the way, the inside while clean and roomy had most of the original structure in an awesome throw back feel. I wondered if Hunter S. Thompson had once visited this location during his experiences of 1965-67. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the duck burger.
Came by about an hour before closing with a big appetite.
The two of us ordered:
-colossal wings
-johnny cash burger
-gold rush burger
I had asked for the wings to not have blue cheese, but they accidentally still included it. Luckily, there wasn't a whole lot of it, so I was able to scrape most of it off. Wings were cooked well.
Burgers here are great! I personally had the gold rush burger and it was so good! Next time, I'll see if they can sub the fried onion rings for raw onions. I think that was be super good! Fries were cooked to perfection as well.
Excited to be back in the near future!
Lots of parking on the lot.
This place definitely caught my attention. The staff was a bit slow due to only having 1 server / bartender. She was very polite and made sure we were taken care of. The food came out quick and was spot on. The loaded fries were ok , didn't have any flavor on them. The duck burger was extremely good and I would recommend that over any of the other burgers. My daughters chicken strips were extremely over cooked. Over all it was a great experience.
Came for an early lunch on a Saturday since we found ourselves in West Sac. The food was super good and the service was wonderful! Good menu options available, and a good a amount and variety of beer on tap to choose from.
We got the pulled pork bahm mi and the buffalo cauliflower, our food came out quick and was very tasty. We'll definitely be back.
First time there from outside you don't expect it to see nice bar and grill. The young lady who takes your order handled the entire restaurant on her own and never missed a beat. I had the chicken sandwich which was very good my Lemon drop was soo good. Definitely will be back.
