Best WLM Reviews

They are stealing from the very people who keep the doors open. The customers. Rude Waitress. Charged me for 2 sopes only had 1. Added a custom amount to our bill of $15.99. I was told it was the tip. I paid taxes on a tip she didn't deserve. She knew I only ordered 1 sope because the kitchen and her only severed me 1 sope. If she Accidentally put in 2 sopes the kitchen would have made 2 sopes.
She padded the bill and gave herself a 20% tip and brought me a receipt not itemized. I had to request the itemized receipt but husband already gave her the money. We had 3 people at our table. Always check your receipt.
I should have paid a tip 0n $65. Should not have been 20 % she didn't earn it or deserve it. Apparently she wants to be rude, steal from customers, and still get 20% tip amount! Nothing worse than thieves! BTW the restaurant has a new name Mi Ranchero! Same staff as Btitos. Not sure if new owners or just new name. She did refund $7 for extra sope but I had to catch her and request it. I was still over charged for tip and taxes!
This was our first time here, and it was amazing! Our friends who know their authentic Mexican food recommended it and it did not disappoint! Service was great too :-)
Sweet and cozy little ACTUAL Mexican taqueira, not the standard Tex-Mex. I had one taco carnitas, very tasty. Then I ordered a Mexican shrimp cocktail, and it was delicious, spicy but not overwhelming, with generous amounts of shrimp and avocado. Large menu, choices for everyone. Highly recommended.
The customer service is Terrible! Waitress was so rude and not pleasant.
The food and cooks are very good but the experience overall is not quality. The drinks are very water down and tasteless. Do take-out!
I went to eat there today for lunch and my experience wasn't to bad, but I will say the food is ok not too bad, I was a little disappointed because online it shows that they have Pollo asado but they don't. Anyway I ordered the menudo. The chips and salsa they give you was not authentic mexican salsa, the salsa was not hot at all, it tasted like it was store bought. The prices are way too high for the food.
REVIEW UPDATE
STILL GOOD....but they aren't fond of gringos. This is near my office and I WAS going fairly regularly, until my order started getting made incorrectly, late, etc. The LAST time I went was with two other folks. It was about 6p, not crowded- but the food took a bit too long, then ONE speaker directly behind me started playing Mexican tuba/accordion/crying caballero music so loudly it actually hurt...
So, I got the point, and I know not to antagonize folks cooking for me. I hope this isn't the future of America.
So....original post.
This is the real deal for Mexican casual/street food. Sauces are good, tacos are exemplary. Quality and presentation may differ from one visit to the next, but it's never 'bad'. This is not Tex/Mex. Cheeses are different, radish and cucumber accompany tacos. Lettuce is hard to come by, onion and complex sauces are not.
English is a second language here, and you'll see some items on tables that you didn't see on the menu. If it looks good, ask for one- or two!
I stopped here because I seen good reviews on the place. I did not like the servers attention to her phone. She was on her phone the whole time I was there. Liquor menu is very limited for a bar. No crown royal she told me and pointed to a shelf with like 7 or 8 bottles and told me this is what we have. I ordered the pork carnitas and what was odd was these slivers of what looked like cooked pineapple was actually slivers of strait up pork fat. I don't know why it was on my plate but their was a pile of this pork fat that was served to me.
The food was great, the people are great, the service was great, I mean everything about this place was authentic and screamed Mexican. If you want something authentic and real, just go to this place. I mean I would go out of my way to come here, and I'll definitely going to go out of my way to come back
