I found the tea service here to be just ok overall. It is definitely not an elevated experience in the way many of the other tea services in the city that are. I would recommend other tea services in the city over the tea here at Bridges if you are looking for something more luxurious and treating yourself. The tea service here is situated in the lobby where other random people will just be hanging out, so the atmosphere is not as enjoyable if that’s what you’re looking for. The tea was fine, but—perhaps to be a bit too much of a snob about it—the tea leaves just continue to steep the entire time, though this probably isn’t uncommon. The sweet and savory items that are included were hit or miss. Some of the items were definitely delicious, while some others just didn’t hit the spot. The scones and cookies were the highlight for me and all pretty great. Our server was very friendly which was appreciated.
My friend suggested this place and we paid deposit, on the d day I checked google maps for directions and saw the reviews, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t even bother checking reviews before agreeing, so it was a case of “there’s only one way to find out.
But we had a very good experience, our server was very friendly and helpful, I enjoyed majority of the options provided, the warm scone was part of my top 3, we made a list of our favorite as we ate.
I’m giving 4 stars because I think it’s overpriced and the automatic 20% gratuity ????
If you love high tea time this is an excellent choice.

The service provided by Roshau was superb. He is a lovely person and had great recommendations.

It is very expensive and worth it.
Bridges overlooks Wacker and Wabash, with great views of the Marina Towers. For fun, count the number of times drivers drive over the center berm.
The lobby bar serves a delightful, non-traditional take on afternoon tea at a low table and club chairs — how a civilized tea should be taken. Rather than savories as the first course followed by scones, an assorted bread basket segues into a lovely tower of goodies. I would have preferred some of the sweets to be sharper to cut through the sweetness and creaminess. However, each bite was delightful. For the spring menu, the duck confit is the star! I also would have liked a whole leaf Darjeeling but the first flush was floral and perfect for this menu. Teapots come with built-in strainers, so ask for an additional plate and remove the strainer so your tea does not over steep. These are minor nits, and they did not detract from a great, professional tea service.
I will go again for the taste and design of the afternoon tea, but not the environment and view.
We had holiday tea. Very cute and fresh. The area is where it’s disappointing. It’s mixed with the bar and it’s next to the hotel front desk. Super load. No music but there is a TV playing sports. Definitely not the typical British tea house you are looking for. Since it’s only at the 2nd floor, you can’t see the river from the restaurant but mostly the road and the trump tower (if you care)
Service is not impressive. $45/ person for reservation. Sat for 15 minutes before our server came to us. 20% service fee automatically charged. For leftovers - meat and dessert were packed together. And the deers were smashed by what’s packed on the top of it. Sad story.
If I can leave a zero star rating for the review, I would do that in a heart beat.
Upon arrival, we were really confused with the “Teahouse” concept, it felt more open spaced and connected directly to the hotel like a lounge area.
Then we waited for an hour before the food came out. Food was just okay and definitely not worth the value. What upsetted us the most was that a automatic 20% gratituity was charged to the bill. For a horrible service this is completely unreasonable.
Definitely would not visit again.
The entire experience was bad. We made a reservation for holiday tea, but we still needed to wait for more than 30 minutes for a table.
I can say it was definitely not the best holiday tea experience. The food was not good. I understand everyone’s palate might be different. However, for the savory food, you cannot taste any original flavors. I basically don’t know what I am eating. The soup was not hot all; it was completely cold, as well as the other savory food. For the sweets, I like the reindeer cake. However, beside this one, all of them do not taste good. Furthermore, they are asking for $85/per person + tax + 20% service fee, but providing less than $25 food and just okay service.
In sum, Not the greatest tea experience, definitely better out there. Honestly I won’t recommend this place unless it gets a decent improvement especially in term of food.

Reserved afternoon tea here. The hotel staff were helpful at directing us up to the restaurant area. However, it was very confusing what to do once we were there. Eventually we just went up to the bar and told the woman that we were there for tea. There's no hostess stand or anyone greeting you, so it's very confusing. They sat us in these weird chairs at the window. Great view but the sets were awkward and uncomfortable. Felt like I was in a spaceship pod or something.
We got to order 1 tea each. I got the Georgia Peach Rooibos. It was fantastic. I'm not a fan of tea, but this one was the best I've ever had. Very flavorful. You get a whole pot and pour it yourself. Both of our glass pour spouts were chipped so the tea spilled on the table every time I poured it.
It took about 30 minutes to get the basket of scones and muffins. The food was delicious. It can with cream, lemon curd and strawberry rhubarb preserves. Delicious! Even the sugar cookie with flower petals was great! I thought eating flowers was kind of weird but it was good.
Then we didn't get the main tower of food until an hour and 10 minutes after we sat down. Reservation was for noon. Got food around 1:15. We had a musical to see at 2 and we're hoping to leave by 1:15 to make it. Didn't think it would take so long to get food that is on a set menu. They serve the same food to everyone. Not sure why it takes so long. I know it's not their fault that we were in a rush but there was a lot of down time between courses.
The food was amazing. Really a highlight of my vacation. I'm kind of a picky eater but the only item I wasn't in love with was the smoked salmon sushi roll. It was just too salty for me.
The strawberry almond cake thing was the best. Also the violet macron was good. I had duck for the first time, and things like beets and goat cheese and fig were really good in just these small bites.
I really loved the food and our waiter was so nice and personable. These were just some drawbacks in the experience. The chipped teapot, long wait times between courses and the weird chairs they sit you in.
