Spend the night in Clarksburg for halfway point traveling purposes and decided to give Brickside Bar and Grille a try for dinner.
Bar looked fun on first glance, lots of bikes outside, and a very local feel. We tend to frequent local businesses as much as practical.
The crowd wasn't overly welcoming. the staff wasn't at all friendly. It was awkward even figuring out if we could walk through with a dog or where we should sit, and once seated, our greeting and service was incredibly mediocre.
We usually find a spot to spend a few hours, have drinks, and enjoy our evening a bit more, but the atmosphere here didn't invite that. Very what's your order, and in and out. It wasn't all that busy.
We ordered a bunch of different meals and the food all was really good. Prices were reasonable, and the deck was shaded and comfortable to eat on.
It served its purpose and was satisfied with the food. We would consider trying again, but just as easily could consider another option in the area.
Excellent service, plenty of staff and seems like a great place to drink! Food is what I expected for bar food. I ordered the New York strip, medium rare, they sent out a tough, grissled piece of shoulder... Like I said, it was expected and delivered. Was hoping for a pleasant surprise. The salad was probably the best thing I had. I would not come back to eat, but would hang out there to drink.
Its a good place I feel if u want to drink. Not really a good place for a good lunch. The sandwich tastes like the steak was boiled had no flavor the chips were about burnt. If I was drunk and got the food I probably wouldn't care. If u want to go for a good lunch I would go somewhere else. If u want to drink and watch a game I would go here
We were with a group of about 16 for a birthday party from 4-7pm. Our waitress was terrific! People ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees throughout the 3 hrs. She was attentive the entire time.
They have a wide selection of bar type food.... lots of fried items, plus some healthier choices. All the food the good.
Our group sat outside. There were some drapes to block out the bright sun, but it was beside the parking lot. There was lots of road noise. We have been in noisier restaurants. We were able to hear each other talk most of the time.
This is a good place for hanging out for events.
One night stopover on our way home from Florida. Great local pub. Big outdoor patio. Good music. Service was friendly and quick. Looked like lots of local so a fun atmosphere. Food was good and the price very reasonable.
The food here was very good we got crab dip, onion petals and pretzel sticks with cheese. We stayed a while and later got chicken wings the wings were amazing. We had three different sauces and I loved every one of them. However the service was pretty slow. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes before a server came over. Then we ordered our drinks and waited at least 15 minutes for her to bring us our drinks. After that it didn't take as long to get more drinks and food but it was still a little slower than expected. Our server was nice but he didn't put much effort into being extra nice (as I believe a server should be). She was just ok. I do like the atmosphere and I love that they have live music on Saturday nights
I went on a Friday night. Live entertainment (Sheyna Gee) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entertainment and the bar/restaurant are separated. I was well taken care of and the staff communicated very well. The music wasn't too loud and I was certainly entertained. I woul make the drive again in the future.
Nice local spot. Nice outside enclosed bar. I have to say that some of the servers are awesome, but some are just okay. Food is average at best. Had the ribs (I don't recommend) had the mussels (I don't recommend). The girlfriend had the Mac and cheese with brisket. She said it wasn't too bad. It's a pub stick with the wings and burgers. Beer is cold and a good selection. There are lots of tvs to catch the game on. And my favorite thing was the locals. I met a few, and all were friendly and inviting into their conversations.
