Brian's bar and grill is an awesome bar and restaurant, and really the only good "sports bar" anywhere in downtown Stillwater. And it's not just a fantastic sports bar, but it also has some really great food. I have had the cheese curds, the olive street burger, and a few different types of their wings. Everything has been great. The service is always friendly and they always have enough staff on hand, unlike some of other places downtown. Prices are good. Good selection of beer. It's the only great place downtown Stillwater to watch a game.
There are so many good restaurants in Stillwater, this one is average. They have a great Wednesday special of $3 burgers, but they are very greasy. Both my husband and I had to dab the grease off the hamburger bun top.
The service started out good but then started to go down (incorrect order, no drink refills, had to ask for the tab). We will try a different place next time.

Nachos were way too salty. Upcharges for extra salsa and extra sour cream were annoying because I didn't know they were being charged until I got the bill.
One plate of nachos $13 + $3 for added beef (didn't the menu say $2?), one extra salsa $1, one extra sour cream $1.50, two Mountain Dews $3 each,). $24.50 plus tax and a modest 10% tip, $29.00
Again, one appetizer and two soda pops for about $30 dollars.
At least the soda refills were free.
This bar has the best cheese curds in Stillwater MN. 10/10 cheese curds. The breading is light and not too bread-y. They should enter it into a cheese curd contest.
Best place to bring your dog. They treated her like family. Good beer, Pool, amazing pacman and dards. If you ar in Stillwater definitely have to come!!
The bartender was great! Had a couple of drinks and ordered some tots. They were not good. Very salty and tasted like everything else that is deep fried.
With any luck when you come here you may get to see some of the local legends, such as Tomato ???? Mike, Cash ???? Cab, or better yet Mary. The food and service is outstanding. Wednesday is burger ???? night. You can treat yourself to a tasty hamburger, all the extras are 0.50. Get two of them if you're hungry. It's so worth it ????.
