Best WLM Reviews
Went for brunch for the first time. Ordered the Brekkie of Champions without toast, a pop tart from the bakery case and the special. I didn't receive the pop tart I requested, and the special came in a wrap rather than a bowl. Other than that, the food was good and the prices reasonable for a breakfast place! Would return.
The restaurant is conveniently located just a few minutes drive from the OSU campus. As you step inside, you will be welcomed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The well-lit interior is immaculate and features a charming decor that sets the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The friendly staff is always ready to help and make your visit pleasant. The menu offers many options to cater to everyone's taste buds, including a special kids' menu. If you prefer to dine outdoors, the restaurant provides limited but cozy outdoor seating. Overall, it is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming and comfortable setting.
The poor reviews are not wrong. We waited in a long line to order. It appeared maybe they were training someone new… on a Saturday morning during prime brunch hours. Eventually, someone new took over and was lovely. We had waited at least 20 minutes at that point. As others have noted, it just seemed service was a bit chaotic.
We ordered pastries, which were really the highlight. Had a buckeye ice coffee. First try was delivered as hot. Once the iced version arrived it was reasonably tasty.
Our brunch items were, frankly, pretty awful. We both had meat lovers items. I had the bowl and my other half had the burrito. The poor quality of ingredients and lack of flavor was pretty astonishing. The plating of my bowl was awkward, but I think it’s because the chicken needs to hide under the eggs. The chicken had a nice texture but was completely coated in the aioli like it was a chicken salad. Why?? Totally weird and had no flavor. Eggs were clearly scooped out like from a cafeteria. Sausage truly seamed to be of the poorest quality. Bacon was almost unnoticed and floppy. Definitely not thick cut. Same can be said for the burrito the only advantage I had was the four little potato waffles. They at least had a crunch. The side of Brussel sprouts… was like burnt veggie dust. You couldn’t even get it on a fork. We spent about $60. Could have gone to a chain and had a much better experience. Literally, I’ve eaten better quality at the continental breakfast at most hotels.
Atmosphere was also very loud. My partner said it seemed like they needed all their money from the pricey food to pay the rent.
This is a casual restaurant. A very bright, fun and open environment. Great for a group of friends/family. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You have to place your order just inside the front door before you can be seated. I recommend looking at the menu online before you arrive so you are not just standing for a long period or holding up the next person in line. We ordered multiple items to try on this visit.
Meat lovers burrito was a no for me. It lacked flavor. The unseasoned wet chicken threw the entire burrito off. I won't order that again. The Stuffed Tator tots were not high on my list either. They were just mushy inside but lacked flavor as well. Next up was the BLVT. This sandwich was amazing... i ordered mine with the slaw on the side because I wasn't sure i would like it. I ended up putting the slaw on the sandwich and boom, all the flavors just came together. This sandwich was reallllllly goooood. My favorite so far.
Next was the "All the feels egg sandwich ". This was a great concept as well and a good balance of flavors. Topped the meal off with Cinnamon strussel cake.
Had a hot coffee but had to keep asking for more creamer and sugar since it's not available for self-service. And lastly, I tried a refreshing cocktail, the Rosè Spritzer.... refreshing.
The area around the tables had food and napkins on the floor, doesn't seem they sweep when clearing tables. So, I had to use my shoe to scoot the mess aside. Besides the floor issue, I think this place is definitely worth giving a try. They could have been short staffed that day.
There was paid street parking available right outside the door.
I was visiting out of town and hotel had a long wait for breakfast. So I decided to get something in the walking distance from Courtyard on Thursday morning…Multiple wins - got a walk and healthy breakfast.
When I saw few recent low ratings for what appeared as nice breakfast place got me curious.
Maybe it’s busy on the weekend, maybe it’s not very cheap but you get nice size healthy breakfast with cup of coffee. They even reminded me to drink some water;)
Overall, good service and tasty food.
Ok, one minus - that vibe cup of coffee is really heavy when full. But you drink it.
Food was a little more on the expensive side, but it was worth it. Great food, fast service, and fresh pastries. Will definitely come back again.
Always been sub par experience, only meat on the menu is bacon and sausage, no ham??? Never heard of that. Great vegan options if you’re into that! I have food allergies and almost always have to send my food back once. Food is very good once it does come out though!
I got an avocado toast. Very little avocado. Taste was good though. My daughter got the burrito. She was happy with the food.
