Best WLM Reviews

Love this restaurant. The staff are excellent and the food is impeccable.
Shrimp parmigiana is cooked perfectly and the shrimp and clams pescatore has just the right amount of oil and garlics…
Always good to see Val and the staff
We were looking for a place to meet our son half way between us. I looked at reviews and this place looked well loved. Upon arrival, I realized that I have seen it for many years as I drive along 95. The charm that shows in the photos is not the half of it. The place is divided up into cozier rooms so you feel like you are in a smaller restaurant. Our wait staff was friendly and well trained. I wanted a nice baked something, so I chose the Italian Combo. No pictures because I ate it. The tiramisu afterward made the meal!
From out of town and thought I would give this place a try since it had almost a 5 star rating. I came in at about 5:30 pm on a Tuesday night. Atmosphere and service were great, the food however was average. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. Ordered the Pasta Fagioli and the Cavatelli Con Broccoli. Fagioli came out quick but had a food temp that was below lukewarm. It also was pretty average and lacked any flavor. They brought it back and was hot, which I’m certain was microwaved. The Cavatelli came out piping hot but you can tell it was made some time earlier. The pasta was mushy as well as the broccoli. There was a watery substance that suggested it was perhaps microwaved as the water probably came from the frozen broccoli and not part of the sauce. I’m sure this is typical of a lot of restaurants to do, I just expected a better quality. The Cavatelli, except for the taste of garlic lacked any flavor and seasoning. The plus side was they did not charge me for the soup and I just paid for the Cavatelli. All in all atmosphere and service was great, just lacking on the food quality. There’s better Italian restaurants out there though if you’re looking for a quality dinner. This place is perhaps worth another try if I’m in the area. Again maybe this was an off night for them.
The waiter is very friendly. The wine in this shop is really delicious. Personally, I think.
Looking for a nice place and atmosphere to dine with family and friends? Look no further, Brazi’s is the place! We’ve been coming to this fantastic restaurant for some years. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful the staff is. Today we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and they went above and beyond our expectations with their service and attentiveness to my family. Thanks for your kindness, the delicious bread pudding and our waiter singing happy birthday with his deep Italian accent. Thank you Val and your amazing staff.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
God bless!
The chicken parm is one of the best in the state - perfect thickness and crunch on the breading without being dried out, the prices are reasonable with good portions, it is almost always busy there which means that it can sometimes be loud inside, I asked for Ala vodka sauce and was accommodated, my wife got the NY strip and surprisingly it was cooked to the temperature requested! Kudos to the kitchen staff
This was my second visit and they haven’t failed me. We are vegetarian and the server was very good and attentive to our needs. He made sure that our food was vegetarian when we told him of our choices.
They have 2 options in portions. Single or family. We took single and it was enough for 2 people. We had Penne Alla Vodka as main dish.
For starters we took garlic bread and it’s just too good. Very very soft, juicy and was very fresh and warm too.
The main dish comes with a salad or soup. We had taken salad and it was very fresh.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Ambiance is great. They can also accommodate a large group as it’s a pretty big setting.
Parking is free.
I think I went with the expectations a bit too high. I searched up Italian restaurants in New Haven and this had good reviews so we went for it.
The food was just ok. The meatball tasted bland and def not home made. The brazi style calamari was good but it would’ve been better if it wasn’t breaded. It just gave you a soggy texture in your mouth. The sausage and peppers with potato’s was a no for us. My wife’s clam linguine was too salty. She couldn’t eat it so we just took it home. The only solid thing was the chicken parm. The cutlets were crispy and the cheese and sauce were good.
All in all, we probably won’t be back. It’s a good place to come with family to get the family style pasta bowls but other than that, I’m good.
