Best WLM Reviews
The atmosphere was amazing and so was the food and the server was always nice and helpful to us. I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.
Typically, Italian restaurants give a lot of food, since we are traveling, I didn't want another Togo box in my hotel room. I just ordered the salad and calamari appetizer to share with the family.
The entries are delicious. My girls shared Rigatoni and they finished it in 5 minutes. The portion is probably half what we typically get at Maggiano's. Don't share here.
Dessert are very good. Not too sweet or heavy, one of the few desserts that I truly enjoyed.
If the schedule allows, we will definitely return on our last day here at Glenwood.
We had a wonderful dinner at Brava Trattoria. The servers were attentive and the food was amazing. We loved the bread provided with the meal. We ordered the mushroom risotto and salmon special.
We enjoyed our dinner after a good soak at the hotsprings . We had to wait for 20 mins since they were busy . Staffs were very nice and friendly . The food was really good . We loved the calamari , mussels and definitely the carbonara . You should also finish it with their great desserts.
Highly reccomend this spot .
We ended up eating here 2 nights during our 3 night stay. The food was fabulous! Smaller normal size portions (thank you!) and we loved everything we ate. I particularly enjoyed the eggplant parmesan, veal parmesan and beef carpaccio. The bartender made me an amazing spici mezcal margarita too. Wait staff was awesome. Owner was nice, recognized us and welcomed us back the second evening. Our servers, David and Summer, were amazing. Both evenings they appeared extremely busy yet we were able to squeeze in with no wait both nights (one of them being NYE btw). Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
TLDR; you don't get enough value for the money that you're charged.
As a former owner, I can understand being in a position where you need to control costs and find a balance between what people are willing to pay and the quality of offerings that you have.
That said, I found that the quality of the food didn't justify the price. I would have been happy if our entrees were $10 cheaper or the portion sizes were bigger for the listed price ($25 for the chicken parmesan and $27 for the Rigatoni).
The spaghetti for the chicken tasted preprepared, like you would buy from the grocery store. I say that, because it was underdone enough to feel like it was still hard on the inside.
The sauce, sadly, tasted like tomato soup. I can appreciate the flavor of tomato, and trying not to overpower it with seasoning, but it could have used some pop.
The star of the dish, the chicken, was delicious.
*Full disclosure, I don't know if I've had fresh pasta before, but I can't imagine that it would be hard like store-bought pasta is.*
The sausage for the Rigatoni tasted freezer burnt. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the quality that I would expect for the price that we were charged.
I also took offense to the 3% obligatory charge for using a credit card to pay. It wasnt a lot—just a dollar or so—but, I don't know why you wouldn't just build that expense into the price instead of just telling the guest that you're charging extra (which, again, I understand as a former owner).
Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't good, either.
This Italian restaurant was a real gem! We went there before our hot spring time. The food was fabulous and we were greeted with warmth. We ordered the lobster risotto and the New York steak! It was so so good! Highly recommend!
A truly great little local Italian restaurant. The staff was fantastic, and everything we had to eat and drink was terrific. Seemed to have a bunch of locals here, giving it a more authentic charm.
This is one of the Best restaurants in Glenwood Springs! By far the best Italian restaurant. Vinnie is the best and takes genuine pride in their offerings and it shows! It was a Tuesday night and they had 3 specials - pan seared salmon, ribeye steak and lamb chops. Everything was delicious as always. The wines are fantastic. Do yourself a favor and go have a meal here!
