Ive been to the other brasas near center st provo and it’s always been good. My buddy and I came to try this location out and it was a nice clean set up inside. I got 5 of the carne asada tacos and they were actually pretty good until I got to my last one. As I was chewing the meat, I felt a weird texture in my mouth and I was trying to get it out. My buddy saw it and looked disgusted as I finally was able to pull out a long piece of hair that was stuck inside a piece of the carne asada in my taco. It was literally inside of the meat where I held the hair in my hand and the piece of carne asada hanging by the hair. I felt so sick after and I brought it to the guy at the cashier and he just took it to the back and that was it. Didn’t talk me after or say anything. It was pretty gross but did nothing to make up for it. I feel sick just writing about this but it was a bad experience. I don’t think I can ever come back here again but I might consider brasas near center st provo. It’s a good thing there there are many taco options though in Utah now. Super disappointed as I was a Brasas fan.
One good thing we have in Utah is the plethora of Mexican restaurants. So unfortunately the only reason I am not giving this place a five star is that it doesn't quite reach the level of flavor as some of the other places I have tried. Their food is good and some of the meat have a very nice smokey flavor. The portion sizes are quite large with all the fixings. The salsa bar had a nice selection of heats some of them quite hot ( I have a pretty good spice tolerance if that means anything). It is definitely worth trying once I can see it being other people's favorite place!
I got the Steak Enchiladas. Great serving size and great prices. It was fulfilling and tasty! Great service and restaurant design is awesome.
I ordered a plate that had meat and tortillas and rice and refried beans cilantro and lettuce to make your own tacos. I really liked the refried beans and the rice. The meat was a little dry. My brother ordered the Beria tacos and he said that they were really good. I wish that I would have ordered that instead. That being said I thought there's salsa was amazing I couldn't stop eating it
SO GOOD. I got 3 tacos woth 3 different sauces, I haven't had an authentic salsa in so long since I've been in Utah until Brasas! I loved the spice level of the species green sauce too, not too intense but just enough that my kids won't eat my food with it on it haha and the meat was definitely smoked, I could smell it and taste it. So so so good. Tons of meat on the tacos too and the corn tortillas weren't soggy.
Amazing food in an amazing new location. This restaurant used to be located over by the old dollar movie theater. It is now located next to the UPS store and Fast Signs, just west of McDonald's.
This is a must try for anyone that loves Mexican food! Delicious, fresh food in HUGE portions!
The new location also is really nice, with two large dining rooms, beautiful decorations, and great music! This would be a great place to watch a game with your friends on the large TVs, have a birthday party, or just meet up with a few friends for some awesome food.
I’d like to give this place another try. I had the Texas burrito, and it was good but not enough to order again. The price, portions, and meat quality were all great. I see other people raving, so I may try again in the future.
I absolutely love Brasas! Their sauces are perfected along with the marinade and meats. It is amazing!!! I have NEVER been disappointed with my food or service! The cooks know me! Hahaha! I will forever keep coming here! There fish tacos and shrimp tacos are some of the best ever ever found!!! Best street tacos I've found yet!!!
