Approaching the restaurant, I noticed limited parking, only a few spaces in front. Arriving during a busy lunchtime, no spots were available. I drove up Main Street and found a paid parking lot which used the Park Mobile app. The area wasn't huge, but a nearby person was guiding people to available spots. After securing parking, I walked a block to the restaurant, where I met my friend. We opted for the covered outside seating and our friendly server quickly took our drink orders. We reviewed the menu as we were talking. I chose the Cuban sandwich with Tater Tots, and my friend ordered the Grilled Shrimp Taco meal with tortilla chips. The food arrived promptly, and we dug right in. I thoroughly enjoyed my Cuban sandwich; the meat was tender and seasoned nicely. My friend enjoyed his Taco meal, but mentioned it would have been better and more filling with 3 tacos, instead of just the 2. We continued catching up, eating, and enjoying the weather on the covered patio. I noticed BrakePad had a couple of smaller indoor dining areas, in addition to the outside covered patio where we were eating which had roll up garage doors that let in the sun and occasional breeze. The garage doors, I am guessing, are inline with the Brake Pad/Mechanic theme. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would return if I am in the area.
Went after picking family up from the airport, All American eatery, good service from the server! We had the brisket nachos and the patty melt! The brisket nachos were delicious and my pattymelt was cooked perfectly! Everyone enjoyed their food!
It wasn't to busy parking could be an issue as there were only a couple of spots reserved for the restaurant!
5’s across the board Ben here several times. Picked up a buddy from the airport and wanted wings. So had to hit the Brake Pad. Best wings we both had in a longtime. Generous drink pour super friendly staff.. apparently everything is house made and you can tell (except the tenders). But dressings wing sauce etc. and you can tell the quality. Lastly, the atmosphere is really cool. Parking does auck but hey park down the street a walk will do you good
Fun place for food. I’m from out of town, but this place is now on my list of places to go when I’m in the area. The service was great and the food was excellent. Love the old garage/gas station. They had trivia night when I was there - fun to play along. I forgot to take photos - but there’s lots of photos out there and they seem to cover the highlights ????. This place is worth the trip! Parking seemed a little limited, but they have more that I didn’t see
My coworkers and I needed somewhere to eat near our hotel and decided to go with this restaurant. Glad we did! We started with the brisket nachos as an appetizer which were absolutely delicious. Just wish the portion was a bit larger. We all got burgers and they were delicious. Only complaint is the meat was cooked slightly over what we requested with each our orders. No big deal considering the taste and quality. The staff was friendly and service quick. My favorite part is that you can have either fries or tots with the burgers. The atmosphere is definitely warm and causal. Seat yourself and a staff member will be with you shortly. Overall, recommend if you're in the area and looking for a place to eat.
Great restaurant, great drinks, great food! We were flying out of the Atlanta airport and staying the night and found this place close by. It was fabulous. Eat here. We loved everything we ate and you absolutely cankot go wrong with the dry chicken wings. I only ate them but man, were they good. Lemon or lime something. Margaritas were delish.
I love the burgers here, particularly the eponymous "brake pad" with fresh jalapeno, cheddar and bacon cooked to temperature (medium rare for me). Nice outdoor seating with a view of the traffic. Not the greatest parking -- parallel park on Rugby or back into Main St on your way out. But it's better for not being the type of place you'd find in a strip mall
Burger tastes well and as expected! Ok beer selection. Great atmosphere
