I have been going to get my hair braided at this salon since 2011 when my family first move to the area. Mind you I am leaving this review in April 2024, and I am 22 going on 23 now... Claudia and the other ladies in the salon have been styling my hair, my mom's hair, two of my sister's hair and some of our friends for over a decade now too. As an adult, I am now active duty and live out of state but will STILL book a trip home specifically for Claudia and the other women in the shop because I know I am guaranteed excellent work at a reasonable cost in a friendly comfortable environment. I have gotten box braids, cornrows, Senegalese twists, tribal Fulani braids and knotless braids from them. I am NEVER disappointed with the work. I have never paid more than $300 dollars for any style here where with all these new braiders most of them be starting their prices at $250-$300 which idk call me cheap but that is a little ridiculous and too much for a protective style... Depending on the braider that is available when I need my hair done, there are times when I have had my appointment time pushed back or been in the salon for 6 or more hours (to be realistic); however, this is the only salon I can go to where I can do a walk in, make my appointment days in advance or weeks out and still be service without some kind of crazy fee or hassles. I personally have never been cancelled on by them on the day of. They're extremely flexible and lenient if you need to cancel a day or two before hand due to your personal life. Claudia and a couple of the other braiders are basically my aunties at this point lol. I've been living out of state for 3 years now and still haven't found another salon that I can trust for protective styling more than this place; hence, the main why I stay booking appointments here. I am looking forward to my next appointment. Thanks so much to Claudia (and the rest) for keeping me happy and loyal for over ten years!
They will give you a appointment and they would not show up or call you to let you know they not doing your hair. I have made 2 appointment the first no show no call the second I called before I was going to leave my house to make sure everything is good she wanted to text and not talk. She reach out after my appointment so I did not go. I catch the bus which I told her one day the heat was hot hot no water or extra money for water. We had to walk back to military circle mall just to get back on the bus to come home.

Pleasant and professional everything was explained clearly the price for the service and for the length….no issues.I was satisfied with my service my appointment was at 10:00 am I was out by 3:00pm….I will definitely come back to get my hair done here…..????I wish they had more stars to give⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My sister went here to get braids and said she had a good experience. So, visiting, I needed to get my hair done in a protective style. I went into the place, asked for Medium knotless braids with hair color 1B and 4 which I was told will be 230. They kept trying to give me colors I didn’t ask for. So I finally said just do black. One lady started on my hair and then stopped to take a walk in client. So I sat there until she told the girl to start braiding my hair to the end. I ended up with three people working on my hair. Long story short, I was there TEN hours with three people working on my head. When they were finish, they lady came and said I gave you the longer braids because you waited so long. I told her that’s not what I asked for because I don’t like braids that go pass mid back. She said that she gave it to me because I had been there a long time which those braids was 250 but she gone charge me 230. Remind you, it was 230 for the braids I asked for so how you figured you are doing me a favor or accommodating me when I’m paying the same thing. On top of that, they did small knotless braids and that’s not what I asked for. I even showed a picture of the size I wanted because she asked me to so she will do the correct size. Once they dipped my hair. She patted my back and said you can go. Now I know for a fact, I saw three other people leave before me which they pulled their hair back and put a bow on it. This was done to kept the hair out of your face and from dripping all over you. The service was awful and I would never recommend this place.
AMAZING SERVICE! I had to cancel not one but TWICE ! She STILL allowed me to make a third one ! Throughout scheduling she had great communication! During my appointment she did a sample braid to see if that’s the correct size ! Asked was it too tight and also told me let her know ! She also had great conversations with me and made sure i was okay. The results was PERFECT. After i take this style out i will definitely come back. I recommend this shop for everyone !
A friend recommended Claudia for some box braids. I went today and had the best experience that I've had since moving to Virginia 12 years ago. Nice atmosphere and good conversation. I will definitely be passing on her business cards. Keep up the good work.
This was my first time at this shop so I was skeptical at first, but after gettingy medium box braids I am in love! Never have I had such neat and pretty braids before. Claudia did a great job ❤️
