Best WLM Reviews

They installed a 7 inch lift on my 14 Silverado . They had it for 1 day. Did an amazing job. Very professional and informational. Would recommend any day of the week
Poor service. Poor customer service.
My whole family had been loyal patrons of this business for years, but they have drastically declined in the past several years. I've reached my limit with them.
Last week, I brought my car in due to a check engine light. I was informed that an engine inspection was necessary to diagnose the issue and was assured I would receive an update by week's end.
However, every time I called for an update, I received the same response: "Don't know anything about it - call back when Gary is in." Despite multiple attempts, sometimes my calls went unanswered. On other occasions, I was greeted by an answering machine with a message that hadn't been updated since last Christmas.
Eventually, I managed to speak with someone who informed me that the diagnosis would take another week. When I pointed out that a week had already passed, his reply was, "We have a bunch of people who have been waiting much longer than you," followed by laughter, as though inconveniencing customers was amusing to them.
I decided to retrieve my car, only to be charged $100.
This incident wasn't isolated. We've had to return several times due to incomplete or improper repairs.
The business has become both rude and incompetent. I'm done.
They are great people to work with. I have 2 right hand drive Jeeps that I use for work and they have done an outstanding job of keeping them working well for me.
I'm only putting 1 star because it will not let me comment if I don't. I though Boyd's Auto would be a good shop to go to that was close to home, but boy was I wrong. I had them put a new transmission in my Tahoe & after I picked it up I noticed it was making a noise that I hadn't heard before and the noise was not there before I took it. I took it back up there, they looked at it & said, " Gary thinks the starter is what is making that noise.” “They checked the bolts and everything looks good and is tight.” “The starter might be getting ready to go out on it.” “Gary thinks the noise might go away." Also, Gary told me over the phone not to worry if it was the starter because it didn't seem bad enough to go out anytime soon, so don't waste my money...I though, Ok cool, whatever. Well, the noise never went away. I took it back up there because they were going to take my old level kit off and put a new one on & I told them that it was STILL making the noise. (I was only taking my vehicle at this point to get the old level kit off, and new one put on.) They called & told me that my vehicle was ready and they put a starter on it along with my new leveling kit. I about passed out when they told me how much my bill was. I knew what the level kit and labor cost, which was fine. But I never gave the "OK" to put a starter on my vehicle nor did anyone call or ask me. I went up there & paid my bill and got my Tahoe back & I knew something STILL wasn't right with it. I took it to another mechanic shop that I knew to get a second opinion. *THIS IS WHERE IT GET'S GOOD!* The mechanic from the shop I took it to said "You have got a BIG problem!" The mechanic at Boyd's was having trouble putting my transmission in & I guess didn't want to ask for help & he jammed the transmission in which caused the evap line to break, oil pressure sensor to break & the fuel line brackets to break, along with some other stuff. AND COME TO FIND OUT THE MAIN REASON I NEEDED A NEW STARTER WAS BECAUSE BOYD'S MESSED IT UP WHILE PUTTING MY NEW TRANSMISSION IN! The starter failed because the misaligned transmission, and they knew that but of course they weren't going to admit that's what it was. I had to take my vehicle back to Boyd's so they could fix the evap lines, fuel line brackets, etc. (Boyd's had to pay the other mechanic I went to for replacing my oil pressure sensor and filter) So, They knew they messed up & were going to fix it. I took my Tahoe back to Boyd's the next day & they fixed what they messed up (free of charge, of course) And I asked for a refund for my starter & labor for putting it on (I didn't even know I was getting the starter put on in the first place) and I only needed it because they messed it up by putting the transmission in wrong. Gary told me "No, he was not going to refund me for the starter" He tried to blame it on something else. But the funny thing is, there was nothing wrong with the starter before I took it & I have pictures & video proof of everything that was damaged. Gary didn't want to be out anymore money than he already was because of having to pay the other mechanic to replace a few things on my car & then having to pay one of his mechanics to come in on a Saturday to fix my car for their mess up & he's out all the money for parts. THAT IS THEIR FAULT BECAUSE THEIR MECHANIC DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING! That's not how you run or handle a business, I would be ashamed. Not to mention, not 1 time did someone call me & apologize for my vehicle getting messed up. Please learn from my mistake & don't chance taking your vehicle to Boyd's Auto because I did & I got screwed over. Karma has a funny way of working these days.
Traveling through the area, truck broke down while I was pulling a travel trailer. Boyd's recommended a tow service to their facility and got my truck right in the shop for inspection. Mechanic did some research and very quickly had the issue identified and corrected. Enough cannot be said for how helpful it was for someone Traveling through the area to get good assistance and in and out within a couple of hours. Highly recommend this shop.
I buy used and hope I can get them fixed up to last. When I find an ethical auto mechanic, I continue to return for more service. Boyd's Auto Service is now my place for repairs. While replacing a simple ABS sensor, he found several other brake and alignment issues necessary for safe driving. I made another appt. for next week. I'll let you know how things turn out...
The truck worked perfectly! I sold it for more than I paid after repairs and bought another used car. Boyd's fixed it as well and she purrs like a kitten!
In my own experience in short was Horrible. The older gentleman that was working the front had an entitled attitude. I've worked in hospitality going on 25 years now and most of that has been as a manager. In my trade, there is ALWAYS going to be a customer that is unsatisfied sooner or later. Now it's understandable for this (we'll call him) 'OM' to be antsy seeing it was the end of the day. However regardless no person should be talked down when in the one paying YOU. It's horrendous when this 'OM' straight accused me of screwing up what they fixed and then proceeded to yell at me saying "they"(Boyd's Auto) already paid for a tow from the first time they tried to repair my family's vehicle. When in reality I took care of the tow NOT Boyd's. The next thing that came from the 'OM' was how he deals with "people like me every day." Why is it ok for any person to talk to my family or I like we're trash. Especially seeing that both times they quote on quote fixed our vehicle and yet it's still COMPLETELY BROKE DOWN. It won't start and the back tire has hardly any air pressure in it for some reason. Our car turned on at least before we brought to Boyd's and the tires are no more than 45 days old and now there's an issue with my left back tire. This completely baffles me!
Now for the woman up front, Gary and any other people I spoke with other than this old grumpy man were pleasant and respectful.
Before taking our vehicles to Boyd's Auto my wife and I went through and read these reviews. Most of them were pretty decent so we decided to use them. Big mistake!! I won't go into detail here but I will say it was been the most horrible experience I've personally ever had to deal with. I was charged for work that wasn't ever done, thousand plus dollars for parts that were unauthorized and unnecessary, refusal of returning old parts, lied to and threatened. If your like me and take the time to read a company's reviews before trusting them. I'd like to tell you that after Gary (the owners son) read the bad review I left, called my family members (whom had nothing to do with the vehicle's)
and threatened them. He demanded I take down bad reviews or he was going to file a lawsuit. The review I left was simply stating I had a very bad experience and nothing more then the truth. I can see now why the company doesn't have many poor reviews considering management calls and makes threats like this. I truly hope you consider all other possible options before taking a vehicle to Boyd’s Auto. *please don't sue me for this poor review Gary ????
