Have been to Japan a couple times so I didn't expect too much similarity from a restaurant in the state. However, I've heard so many hype from my friends in Appleton so I was so excited. Ordered 2 types of ramen to try out and was so disappointed ☹️ Looked good but was actually the blandest ramen I've ever had. My cousin had their fried rice but it was too greasy. Service was great tho, server was really nice and attentive. Won't be back but if the business improves the cooking, maybe I'll try again.
Tonight we had edamame, happy belly buns and crab Rangoon for an appetizer. For dinner we ordered a child’s ramen, Bowl 91 fried rice (without peas and carrots) and beef bulgogi drunken noodles.
The happy belly buns are so delicious, pork belly served with a Korean bbq sauce and cucumbers in a soft gua bao bun.
The crab Rangoon’s were folded into triangles and LARGE! The wonton wrappers were fried perfectly and were faintly sweet, almost like you were eating a donut. The filling was a good ratio to the wonton.
The beef bulgogi drunken udon is so flavorful and is very spicy, which I love.
The Bowl 91 fried rice, has all the proteins! The rice is sweeter and literally each bite you take makes you want another one, and another one, and another one.
The kids ramen is a choice of broth, which a chicken soy sauce broth was chosen, and noodles.
For drinks we had a passion fruit mojito which is so refreshing and the 91’s classic old fashioned which was nice and quite citrusy.
Overall this place is a hit, but make sure you go early enough because there will be a wait!

Bowl Ninety-One has much more to offer than ramen, but if ramen is what you want, they definitely have you covered. For apps, the steamed pork belly buns and beef bulgogi tacos were top-notch. Sake and plenty of other drink choices abounded, too. The ramen broth was rich, and the spice level was a comfortable medium. The darn soft boiled egg was so delectable that it stole the show, however. Looking forward to trying more. So, make the trip, and get bowled over yourself.
Update-The menu has changed. There are less vegan options.
Wow! I stumbled upon an amazing restaurant. It is difficult for me to find a restaurant with my strict vegan and gluten free diet. The menu was marked making it easy to know what I could order. The food was outstanding. I wish I could eat there every day. -sooo delicious Great atmosphere. Close to many stores, YMCA, and businesses.
I had the Vegan Panang Curry with tofu. Yum! My friend had Bangkok Flat Noodle with chicken and loved it.
Update: Today was my 3rd time at Bowl 91. Every single time, my food was so delicious.
Everything was so good. Stopped in the area and didn’t know what to eat and they did not disappoint. Bulgogi Kimchi French Fries was awesome. Service was great and very quick. Great atmosphere for dining!
Great food. Fun vibe. Helpful staff.
The ramen was great and satisfying. Broth was good.
The Pad Thai is one of the best I've had. The sauce has a nice consistency and flavor.
Also had the bulgogi tacos. Very unique crossover. Highly recommend trying it.
One of my favorite ramen places! The food is always delicious, the service is great and the atmosphere is chill. Our waiter was very kind. They have a couple options for kids like the kid ramen! I highly recommend checking them out! ????
We ordered Thai Iced Coffee, crab ragoons, Hmong egg rolls, happy belly buns, curry lover ramen and a kids ramen.
My first time here and the food was amazing, service was really good
