Boundary Bridge

Very much enjoyed my walk in this nature reserve and park. Only down side is at times the trail is very close to the road and there is alot of traffic noise. At times I had to walk on the road to connect one trail to the next, with no walk way for pedestrians this is not recommended.

Great park in the District. Hike or bike and Beach drive is closed to cars on the weekend and and holidays.

Holly, Valley, and Pine Trail Combo in Washington, D.C. is 4-mile trail has an elevation gain of 269 ft and is rated as medium difficulty. It's a trail that had been on my bucket list for quite some time, and I was excited to finally check it off. I found this trail on all trail apps. We started the trail by parking the car at the beach drive. This was my first time in this part of the park, and it was bustling with activity. The trail starts flat along a creek, and as you go along, it becomes more challenging with rolling hills and scenic views. The trail also offers easy access to the river, which is a great spot to take a break and soak in the tranquility of nature. As the trail runs along a busy street you could hear traffic which made it hard to relax. Although, there are parts of trails where you can find some solitude. Overall, the Holly, Valley, and Pine Trail Combo is a great hike for anyone looking for a challenging and scenic trail. The great views of nature and the feeling of escaping the hustle and bustle of city life make it an experience that I would highly recommend. Just be mindful not to go there after a rainy day as it tends to be muddy.

Nice trail, plenty of dog walkers and places for them to swim.

Great park for running, walking, or bringing animals, all under the shade of the trees in rock creek park. Miles of unpaved trails, many by the creek are popular with dog walkers.
