Tried this place on our trip to Indy & we would have regretted if we did otherwise. We took Bosporus Special ; that platter had Adana kebab, Chicken kebab , köfte & some others kind of kebab too. Almost all the kebabs were juicy , tender , well seasoned.
We were 3 , that platter was good enough for us ; we just had to order a bucket of naans to eat with the platter . We took their Hummus too , it paired well with the platter & naans ; tasted good but not extraordinary.
I wish this place was a bit bigger ! We literally listened almost everything from the next table . This place will give a classic Turkish vibe too . Nicely decorated.
Only trouble could be finding a suitable parking spot. We somehow managed to find a street parking spot , but took us a while to.
I will definitely hit this place again on our next Indy trip ????
Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe offers a delicious escape to the heart of Turkey, right here in Indianapolis. From the moment you step inside, you're transported by the warm aroma of spices, the friendly greetings of the staff, and the inviting atmosphere. The food is amazing. Each bite is an explosion of taste and texture, perfectly balanced and utterly delicious. It's very popular, and you might have to wait a bit, but it's so worth it.
We ordered the appetizer combo and the meat combo - all are amazing! The appetizer combo is really impressive. The decorations at the restaurant are very beautiful and delicate. You will amaze by the atmosphere and the food at this place. The waiter even taught us some words in Turkish! Teşekkür ederim!!
Decided to take a detour and give this place a try. Was blown away by how good it actually was. The bread/ hummus dip was so good I ate entire basket on my own. I went with the house special for main dish. (there's plenty meat variations) this place will fill 2 people up fully. I then got their coffee and baklava to finish up my lunch. I'm stuffed and extremely happy. Just look at the pictures. 10/10 if you're considering it, give this place a try. My total was 56$ before tip. Which is a bit steep but would fill 2 people up for sure. I took half the food to go.
The food here is delicious! My favorite dish was the donner kabab. The babaganush was really good too. Meat is tasty, juicy, and tender. The staff is super nice and the owner is really friendly and fun. Had such a great time here!
During our first visit to Bosphorus, we had an amazing time. We ordered appetizers, lentil soup, tomato soup, spinach, chicken, and sultan grilled lamb. Overall, The food, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic. We highly recommend it ????????
I decided to try this place for v day because my husband family is Greek and we had just taken a trip to Greece and turkey this summer.
the food was amazing in the home county. I can honestly say this restaurant felt like we where back.
From the apps the entrees it was stellar .
The service was top notch and the atmosphere was perfect . I loves the rugs and eyes . We brought our parents with us and they also very much enjoyed everything .

There's a reason it has such a high rating with nearly two thousand reviews. Delicious food, all of it. Every appetizer was on point, best baba I've had, and the pita was so fresh. Everything here is made with love from real ingredients and it shows. If you're on the fence stop hesitating and give it a try. It took me far too long to try this place and I regret waiting.
