Absolutely amazing place to eat! Super family friendly as well! Has an awesome sand area for kids and parents to hang out and play while you wait. This area also had live music. So even while you wait for a table you can have a good time. The food was amazing as well. It is expensive so make sure you are willing to drop at least a $100.00. It's worth every penny though!
We had a fantastic experience overall. Despite waiting almost two hours to be seated, we were forewarned, so it wasn't a surprise. The food exceeded our expectations. The crab dip was exceptional, with 95% crab and just a hint of filler – truly high quality. Our entrees were equally impressive, and the dessert was delightful. Our server was outstanding and attentive throughout our meal. Can’t wait to return once we visit Destin again!
I was not impressed by the food here. The appetizer was good. I had the pimento cheese. But the main course was not a good choice. The wait time was unbelievable at 2 hours and 20 minutes just to be seated and have unsatisfactory food. I didn't complain. We just packed up the food and left. Overrated most definitely. We will not every go back.
Matthew (Grits) provided incredible service- he made our experience. He did so with his recommendations, sweet spirit, and attentive service. Next time I visit I want to sit at the bar to have him again! Happy to visit.
Plus, the “original” was 10/10 (per his recommendation.)
This place is definitely overhype. Atmosphere was the best part. Parking lot is small. My entree was 50+ but the portion was same as my wife's which was $15 less. Wouldn't mind if it tasted good but basically everything we ordered tasted sweet! If you like sugar in all your food then this is the place for you...just not for us.
I was greeted so kindly by the bar tender, “Grits” (Matthew) and he immediately welcomed us. Even took our group photo and gave us the best food recommendations. Food is INCREDIBLE! You have to get one of the top 3 fish dishes. I had the snapper with crab and shrimp and my boyfriend had the Duck Confit (he is allergic to finned fish). Both were amazing. The rest of the family had the other fish dishes (blackened and cornmeal grouper) and it was by far the best meal of our vacation. 100% get here at 4:30pm to avoid the crowds for a shorter wait. We tried 3x the whole week to get in and it was always a 2.5 hour wait until we came at 4:30pm and found immediate seating at the outdoor bar. Definitely come here as soon as you can, it is so good!!!!
Boshamps was an absolutely phenomenal dinner experience. I went with my wife for our 6 year wedding anniversary and the atmosphere, service and most importantly food was in believable!! Seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly and our service at the outdoor bar was prompt and the server was great with recommendations. Would recommend this place to anyone, and will be back when I’m in Destin next time around!
Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had. We are visiting from North Carolina and accidentally stumbled across this place. From the complimentary valet (we opted out and just parked ourselves) to the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. I knew it was gonna be great. Discovered the restaurant was named after the owners DOGS!! And it was dog friendly! That's a way to our hearts! We chose to sit outside and wow the view to the harbor was GORGEOUS. Our waiter Chandler was great. Funny and very knowledgeable of the menu and helped us with our picks. He didn't steer us wrong. From the drinks to appetizer to fresh seafood down to the chocolate cake for dessert, we were satisfied and blown away with every bite. We leave back home in the morning but we will be back one day and we WILL be stopping by BOSHAMPS again.
