I was hesitant to try this restaurant as I have quite a refined palate. I had been putting off trying this restaurant just because when we crave Mexican food we generally go to Javiers at Aria. Every other Mexican restaurant usually tastes mass produced with low quality ingredients. However, I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was here. It’s much closer to home as well. The service is top notch. The host, waiter and bus boys were on top of everything. From refilling our beverages to our cocktails or chips and salsa and quickly clearing out any empty plates. The pozole soup is excellent! The empanadas are very light and tasty. The breakfast scrambler was delicious as well as one of the carnitas entrees my hubby had. The flan was very good also. I enjoyed dining here so much we came back the following week.
Restaurant is inside the Casino which wasn’t clear on initial searching and made it a little tricky to find. Food was good. Complimentary corn chips and salsa. Very generous portions. Our server asked if we wanted beans and rice with one of the dishes, didn’t mention that it was an extra $10 and we already had some coming with one of the other dishes. Ended up with way too much food. Margarita was tasty.
Service is terrible. Plenty of empty tables but hostess still would not seat us, saying we would have to wait. Apparently only one server on duty and hostess says she need to wait while he gets some orders in??! Would have been nice to be seated while waiting. Don’t understand how they manage it but the chips had hard kernels. Not good for temporary crowns.????
Had a great time with friends pre Cinco de Mayo celebrating.
Food and drinks were yummy and tasty in a fun and lively atmosphere. The hostess was delightfully friendly and welcoming (unfortunately didnt catch her name).
The waiters and staff were attentive and professional as well to round out a perfectly pleasing evening.
Would definitely return.
Great visit to @borachamexicancantia, clean, beautiful restaurant, booth, table seating, as well as a center piece bar to eat and drink at!!!! The food is good, carnitas tacos ???? beans struggle for me, no flavor, pirated texture, rice was ok, can be way better!!!! Chicken Taquitos were good, not shredded chicken breast, Chopped compressed texture, I'd say "rolled taco" not "Taquitos". Overall, it's a cool spot for lunch and to watch the games!!!! ✔️????????????...Njoy FolkZ
Borracha Mexican Cantina offers a vibrant dining experience with its lively atmosphere, colorful decor, and friendly staff. The menu features a delightful fusion of traditional Mexican dishes with modern twists, such as flavorful street tacos, rich enchiladas, and creamy guacamole. Their drink selection, including handcrafted margaritas and refreshing sangria, complements the food perfectly. Attentive and efficient service, combined with reasonable prices and generous portions, ensures great value. Whether for a casual outing or a special celebration, Borracha Mexican Cantina is a fantastic choice for delicious Mexican cuisine in a festive setting.
The food was good and flavorful. The garlic shrimp as well as the (3) Taco Plate, which, included Chicken, Shrimp and Carne Asada, were a good size and priced accordingly.
All were packed with meat and topped with sautéed vegetables. The plate came with rice and beans, which, complemented the tacos very well.
My only issue was with the tortillas. They could have been cooked a bit longer which, would have provided a bit more flavor to the overall dish.
My waiter was vey friendly and suggested some of the most popular menu items, which, I appreciated.
The restaurant has a standalone bar located in the center which, is a great focal point to entice those walking by to come in.
The two hostesses working the front were very professional. They greeted me upon entering and when I left. This simple gesture is often overlooked by businesses but means a great deal to customers and will keep them coming back.
I’ll definitely be back and I recommend you give this place a try.
We went there for Cinco de Mayo.
It was very busy but it was a great time.
They had a mariachi band playing and a photographer going around taking pictures.
They were also a couple of girls walking around giving margarita shots out. They were really great too.
We started off with a Margarita and a Paloma which were both great.
Then we had the queso fundido which was delicious.
For dinner, I had the braised short rib birria.
The wife had the queso birria tacos, and the kid had the swordfish vera cruz.
My short rib was perfectly cooked. It was so tender and delicious.
The wife enjoyed her tacos and the kid loved his swordfish.
We shared a tres leches cake which was amazing.
Ryan was our server and he did an great job.
Omar the GM touched our table, he was very kind and gracious.
Mary, another manager also touched our table, she was great .
We didn't get the busser's name but he was working really hard.
Chef Miguel came out with a cake complete with sparklers to mark the anniversary of the restaurant.
It was a beautiful cake with sugar skulls.
They came out and gave everybody a slice which was really nice.
Great food and drinks, great service, and a nice ambiance.
We will be back!
