Best WLM Reviews

I was working here for the week at the convention center on property so we had lunch and dinner here on two separate days. Lunch menu was great. Dinner menu was equally good. Everyone loved their meals! Service was fun and friendly. This is probably one of the best spots at the Mandalay Bay to eat at.
I ate here twice on my last trip. Once at the bar and once with a larger group at a table. Both times the staff was friendly and food was served quickly. I got the same thing both times I went. The quesadilla with steak and cheese only. Both times the steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and had a great taste. One of the other people I was with got the Cascabel Ribeye. He said it was delicious!
Tasty filling vegetarian food. Interesting smoke infused cocktails. Liked my first server at the bar the best, but other server pushed ahead of her. Overall pretty good, surprising how early they close for Vegas casino floor location.
Very nice presentation. Smaller portions than most Mexican restaurants. When it says comes with beans and rice, it was a tablespoon of each. We were a party of 3 couples and he brought one check altogether. When we asked to split the bill up he said we don't do that here, I don't have time to do that. ?? Food was ok. Probably would not go back.
I’ve passed this place each year my company has had our meetings here and I finally went and wow have I been missing out! Everything has great flavor and very tasty. They don’t put tons of cilantro in everything so for me it’s delicious. Fresh tortillas also make the meal extra delicious. Food is super fresh and yummy.
Slightly above average corporate-esque Mexican food. Sort of what you’d expect for a casino restaurant but extra points for their creative spin on traditional Mexican dishes.
There were six of us, each with different entrees and we all sampled each other’s food.
Photographed:
Enchiladas Trio (Chicken Poblano, Seafood, & Short Rib) - These were all okay but just none had that “WOW” factor. The short rib narrowly beat out the seafood as everyone’s favorite of the bunch.
Grilled Fish Tacos - Also just okay. We’re suckers for good grilled fish tacos and go out of our way to order them if they’re an option but these fell a little flat.
Not Photographed:
Queso Fundido w/ Carnitas - This was actually one of the best things our group ate that day. Not overly greasy and had a fantastic flavor.
Scallops (not on menu but was a house special that day) - The scallops were great! These were cooked to perfection and almost everyone’s favorite dish.
Braised Chicken Quesadilla - It may sound crazy but the quesadilla was bursting with flavor. Very tasty. We suspect they use chicken thigh rather than the breast meat which, if so, was a great choice because this dish stood out from the others.
Steak Nachos - Another dish that was pretty good but certainly not a show stopper. Good quality of steak though.
Aguachile - Not bad but not great. We all have had better elsewhere.
Overall, a safe option if you’re on the south side of the strip and hungry for Mexican food but I probably would not recommend going out your way to eat here. You could find a better version of each dish we tried elsewhere in Vegas.
Ordered the skirt steak and enchiladas trio. And the chips and salsa trio. Everything was tasty. Fresh and authentic Mexican. Not loaded down with cheese. Steak served with veggies side light and yummy. Perfect portions not too heavy but filling.
We have wanted to go to this place ever since watching a feature on The Netflix show "The Chef Show" but our last two times in Vegas were during Christmas and the restaurant was closed. This time was a different story as we were there in early April.
After watching a couple Las Vegas YouTuber videos, I decided that the best way to experience this place was to do their Border Brunch which is only available on Saturday/Sunday which includes unlimited small plates for $44.99 per person. In our case we also added the bottomless mimosas, micheladas and bloody marys for $27.99 per person.
As you can see from the photos these are tapas style small plates meant to be shared and not to overload you like lets say a typical buffet menu would. Cuisine is Mexican with maybe a little Cali twist. Everything tasted really good but I can't say that I was blown away. It's something to at least do once while in Las Vegas. Two things to note are that this restaurant uses quality ingredients (sustainable and they work with local producers). And also their customer service is solid.
*Be aware that they have a 2 hour limit as me and the gf had to take our last batch of mimosas to go. So don't be surprised if your server starts to look at you funny around the 1 hour and 59 minute mark..
