Chaparral doesn’t have enough busses for all its students here at all of our schools Gadston also provides busses & drivers for those schools in Ontero county plus school security. So you want better drivers then take it up with Gaston school district when I call they answer but I call at 6:30 when there going into work when my grandson isn’t going to school not at 7am when there almost here to pick him up! They are short staffed doesn’t do me any good to go to the virtual meetings if all I can do is watch and not voice my opinion at the school board meeting. I won’t wear a mask,

They do not ever answer their phones, and I been calling all day for two days and they have a busy line the entire business day.
I've had different issues with my daughter's bus driver and when I called kay and complained she seemed to not care about the incidents. First my daughter's were dropped off at the wrong bus stop my 8 year old told the bus driver that stop was not her bus stop and my daughter said she was told to get off some lady who I don't even know brought my daughter's to the correct bus stop luckily she was a nice person and helped my daughter's because what if someone else who didn't have good intentions took my daughter's. Then my daughter came home and said she got scared because the bus driver stopped all of a sudden and she thought it was because they were gonna crash but no she slammed on the breaks because a student wasn't listening what if a kid wasn't properly sitting down and gets hurt. Also my youngest saw her sister outside the bus and realized that was her stop and got up to get off the bus both her and my oldest said the bus driver closed the door on my daughter's face and told her to pay attention I went to speak to the bus driver and let her know that my daughter has ADHD and yes she is a very distracted kid after me speaking to the bus driver and telling her that my daughter had ADHD she now sits her on seat #3 and has my oldest sit with her last night my daughter came home and told us that she sits on seat #3 because she is cockoo I asked her who said you are cockoo she said the bus driver
My daughter goes on the bus to school and the first bus drivers were very polite they would help my daughter in and out of the bus sit her down make sure she's safe. Sometimes i would be running late to the bus stop and they would honk just to let me know the bus is here and wait a few minutes they were very nice but now my daughters going to kinder and since the very first day I've been having lots of trouble with this new bus driver I'm not always here to get her so her grandma will pick her up from the bus she told me to write a note with the name of the person and their number of who's picking her up before she gets on now she changes it and says that boone has to approve it that I should have submitted it before and then they send it to boone they approve it and they send her a copy then she says that she needs to see this person constantly or else she can't let my daughter get off the bus even when she shows the proper ID she never told me any of this. It's happened already twice and these two times I had to get her out of school early before I went and did watever I had to do ugh these people need to get right more professional and more organized.
never had problems with boone until a substitute bus driver yelled at my child who is in kinder and made her cry. I had to call multiple times to speak to supervisors because no one would return my call
Today was my sons first day of kinder. As we waited ansciously for him at the bus stop, the bus never passed through our house so he was never brought home. After finding out he had fallen asleep in the bus we were asked to go pick him up. My wife question the bus driver with, were you given a checklist for the new kindergarten kids? her respond was no. Did you realize this was his first day of school? her respond was, you are wrong mam today was not their first day of school. My wife continued to explain to her that it was his first day of school,and the bus driver continued to argue back that she was wrong. In the middle of their little fustration the bus driver takes off and leaves my wife talking on her own. She was really unproffesional and not understanding at all. We understand things happen but, they should have a check list for the small kids especially on their first day of school. My son was very sad thank god we took action right away.
They were wonderful with us. First time parents and getting our babies to school was an experience but Boone made us feel comfortable
I have been trying to call the number listed for an hour now and it keeps ringing busy, this is not the first time it's ever happened. Either someone does not know how to hang up a phone or takes it off the hook so they cant be disturbed. Maybe another number should be listed on the website so us parents can get ahold of the people that are supposed to be transporting our children.
