Came in for a quick bite and and indeed tis' what I received. Very fast and well worth the price.
Terrible sushi with no flavor and mainly rice. Please forgive all the folks that gave 5 stars and said that this sushi joint was the best in St. Bernard. Seriously, it does not take much to make me happy, but that was absolutely, hands down terrible. People vote with their wallets and I hope this place closes in the next couple years.
Disappointed, prices on the board are not pay. I am very disappointed in the quality of the food. The roll I got was not very good, no taste and crab salad and dressing just did not taste good!
Found hair in my food on two separate occasions. The first time, the hair was buried in a bed of crabmeat beneath baked salmon. I never ordered that again and continued ordering sushi. Today, after ordering from them all week, I happened to pick apart my sushi and found ANOTHER strand of hair in a crab sushi roll. I’m done. Eat here at your own risk — and if you do, don’t get anything with crab. GROSS!
I eat here a lot. The food is always great, is reasonably priced & the owners and staff are wonderful & friendly. Absolutely the best sushi in the parish. ☯️

Great selection of sushi rolls and related items. We love that the gyoza are a little fried, so they are crispy! Also pretty flexible, making some rolls without the rice for lo-carb options. Dining in is nice, but the carry-out is very fast and convenient. Miss the loyalty rewards, but the cost is reasonable in any case.
Found the sashimi very bland. And the roll wasn’t impressive either. The roll had close to zero flavor. I’ve had far better sushi. The last time I’ll order from Bonzai. It wasnt worth the $25. I’ll rather spend my money else where, where the food is actually flavorful and good enough for me to order more, which isn’t here. Which means going to New Orleans for good sushi.
